What do you love most about your job?
At the heart of my work is a deep love for the magic that happens when technology meets human connection. Each day, I get to work with latest innovations in production tech to bring events to life, creating unforgettable moments for people. But it's not just about the tech; it's about seeing the smiles, the awe, and sometimes the tears of joy that come from the experiences we craft. Beyond the buzz of events, I find myself on a never-ending learning curve, from my business challenges to my University studies, each step teaching me something new about resilience, innovation, and the beauty of working together. The diversity of what I do keeps my heart and mind fully engaged. It's this ever-changing, richly layered life that I wouldn't trade for anything. It's about creating, learning, and, most importantly, connecting – with technology, with people, and with the community. This is what I cherish deeply, what keeps me going, and what makes everything I do so incredibly rewarding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Starting my business, Smart Event Management, was inspired by a blend of passion and purpose. I've always been drawn to the magic of live events—the way they can bring people together, tell a story, and create unforgettable moments. It was this fascination with the power of connection and the potential to craft those experiences that drove me. Coupled with a desire to push the boundaries of what's possible with audio visual technology, I saw an opportunity to not just work in an industry I love but to shape it. The idea of building something from the ground up, where I could merge innovation with creativity and make a tangible impact on communities and individuals, was incredibly appealing. There's something profoundly rewarding about seeing an event come to life, knowing it's more than just an occasion; it's an experience that might stay with someone forever.
