What’s your interior design process?
I offer a free phone consultation, if the client would like to meet I then provide an onsite visit (charged) where I discuss the clients requirements and then provide a quote for my time and scope of works. Depending on the clients needs the scope of works can be staged over a period of time.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
I can cater for all styles, but I particularly love working with colour.
What do you love most about your job?
Creating beautiful spaces and the relationships I form with my clients, sometimes leading to life long friendships.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always been creative and provided friends and family with design advice and I've worked for others in creative roles. Changes during 2020 (a pandemic) encouraged me to take the plunge and get serious about Proud Mary Stylist.

Yes, I'm happy to provide design services via zoom meetings, and I can create floor plans, colour palettes, furniture suggestions all on digital mood boards.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I can provide my services remotely but for all onsite consultations I wear a mask, sanitise my hands and maintain social distancing.

From simply replacing and updating cabinetry handles, a sink and mixer to an entire refit of your home, the right finishes will make all the difference.
Digital Mood Boards
If the last 18 months has shown us anything, it’s that we can do a lot through a zoom meeting, even create an interior concept. This is exactly what I did when my clients and I couldn’t meet face to face. They were working with an architect and they knew what they didn’t want, but couldn’t articulate what they did. Over a number of meetings, we found the perfect colours, finishes and materials and these were presented in a digital format. Easy for the client and the architect.
This can be done with furniture sourcing too, I can provide a 2D floor plan and a 3D room image, to ensure you’re completely happy with the proposal.
Lighting
There are so many lighting brands on the market, it’s hard to know where to start. Proper lighting can make a huge difference to your home, and it doesn’t need to cost the earth. Lighting design is usually always a part of my briefs and even if not required I am happy to make a recommendation to include a statement pendant or floor or table lamp. Ceiling lights are necessary, but the use of table, floor and pendant lighting can be a game changer. Lighting design creates ambience and softens the hardness of ceiling lights. Plus, who doesn’t look better with mood lighting?
Space Planning, Sourcing and Project Management
Proud Mary provides a one stop shop for creating a beautiful bespoke home with personality and style. If you are time poor we offer a project management service for everything from recommending and liaising with trades, sourcing products and accessories, managing deliveries and dealing with building managers.
Colour Consultations
One of Proud Mary’s strengths is working with colour. Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start with colour, even if it’s just updating white walls! It can be easy to get overwhelmed with the amount of ‘white shades’ on the market. This is where we can help – from updating existing cabinetry with a lick of paint, to an entire home, we work with clients to find a solution and even encourage you to break out of your comfort zone. And we love working with wallpaper, from a dramatic powder room to a nursery, we can help you find the perfect custom wall covering for your home.
Furniture Sourcing
Having been working in the furniture industry for over 20 years Mary know quality and has developed great relationships with a her suppliers. Mary can work to any budget and create a home that is about the client and their lifestyle as opposed to what's the latest trend.
