If you're reading this review considering whether you should book at Phat Mango just do it! The staff are fantastic. Attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely friendly creating a fabulous atmosphere. Perfect balance between checking in and leaving you to enjoy your meal. The food is inventive, interesting and delicious. We had the deluxe feed me option, a great way to experience the breadth of the menu. Serving sizes were extremely generous so pace yourself. Probably the best feed me experience I have had. The wine list is extensive with excellent and unique options by the glass. And the glass prices are very reasonable. Couldn't fault the experience and will be back to try the new season menu. Our meal last night at Phat Mango was incredible and a highlight of our time in Darwin. The food was astounding, the flavours incredibly balanced. The staff were just as impressive as our meal, from the greeting at the door to our waiter and our brief chat with the Chef. We chose the $75 Feed Me menu, every single dish left us speechless. From the moment we arrived at Phat Mango the staff were warm and welcoming. We were told that it might be a wait for a table and originally walked out the door but turned back moments later - so glad we did! We were seated near the bar and offered the food and drinks menu to peruse while we waited. We ordered a drink each for our wait, and had two people check on us during this time. Before we had even finished that drink we were taken to our table and seated. We ordered six of the small plates and asked if we wanted three and three following that. We agreed and soon enough had our first three plates served. I will be dreaming of that roo tartare for months to come. It was exquisite. The buffalo carpaccio was divine and the smoked mackerel was surprisingly one of the best fish dishes I have eaten in my life. The next three meals were outshone by the first ones but none the less were amazing; bone marrow, prawns, and scallops. The wait staff were so friendly, often stopping by the table for a chat, to offer their thoughts on the dishes (a team that eats the food and is knowledgeable of their chefs menu is always a good sign), and to even chat to the chef about potential catering for events. If you have the opportunity go to Phat Mango and allow yourself and your taste buds to be transported. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Five stars doesn’t even cover it. When you go, get the roo tartare - it will change your life! More...

Had dinner there on Tue., glad we booked as it was pretty busy. OMG the food was fabulous, unlike anything we‘ve ever had before. Loved the fish wings most. Having said that - all dishes were excellent & good portions. Waiting staff were friendly & service was excellent. Not exactly the cheapest restaurant in town but worth it & didn’t mind paying for quality food. Coeliac, GF this restaurant is for You. Excellent Gluten Free Food 🌟 showcases exquisite flavours. Share plates so you can try so many dishes hungry the Feed me option. The staff are exceptional use their knowledge to guide you through the menu and extensive wine list as you go. Book ahead I would love to try the Menu coming. Highly recommend Phat Mango for the delicious food and cocktails. They offer unique food sourced as locally as possible. I also love that they cater to lots of different dietary requirements so everyone can enjoy. The drinks menu is seriously extensive and lists by location/supplier.
