Paragrid was established in 1983 dealing with Leichhardt Council, now the Inner West Council of Sydney on our own house.
Since then work has included restoration of grand Victorian mansions in conjunction with the Heritage Council of NSW, restoration of Christ Church St Laurence Parish House, many new houses and residential extensions, office partitioning layouts, hotel restaurant and motel fit-outs, new factories, townhouse developments, medical/dental surgeries.

Paragrid developed a remodel of my art deco heritage 1.5 bed property in Potts Point, transforming the property from a cramped and uninspired space into a delightful home for two tenants. The kitchen, being of its era, sorely needed creatively remodelling, and now comfortably hosts two fridges, a stove and ample overhead storage with functional preparation space. The half bedroom, previously suited only to occasional use, was transformed into a tranquil, sun-filled library and guest room with underbed storage and overhead hanging closet. Tasteful furnishing of the living room and frosted glass french doors accompany sheer interior curtains to provide privacy while maintaining a light-filled sense of space throughout. More...

What do you love most about your job?

We love to sketch, draw by hand and use computers and CAD in different and innovative ways.
What inspired you to start your own business?
When studying architecture I invented a new form of Drawing board, called "Paragrid" and after graduating set up a practice in Annandale in 1985, dealing with Council, heritage and termites!
