Review complaint for Park Royal Penang: We booked in for Park Royal Penang and when given the room at 3pm , we went up to rest after a long flight and all we heard was chainsaws cutting down trees right outside our room window and we could not enjoy our stay at all. ... honestly unbelievable 😱 we asked if this was fair as guests of the hotel....? and for the manager to be informed. @ 7.07pm the room phone rang and when i tried to answer the was no noise on the handset... I tried contacting service desk to enquire (via speaker handsfree) regarding the person who tried contacting the room.. She said the person calling is not there at the moment .. i asked who it was and she said it was her manager... I advised her the phone handset is not working and she said she will inform the technician The phone isnt working !!!!! Unbelievable 7.20pm the manager called back and i had to answer via the handsfree speaker phone and talk to her.. she couldnt hear me so it was very difficult communicating to her.... then when she understood what i was saying.. she just repeated what the issue was.. (there was tree cutting) . very upsetting no one advised us and we had to experience this terrible situation.!!! 😤 unfortunately would not return or recommend anyone.. if u would like to enjoy the beach view at the back of the hotel , you can walk along the beach experiance this from the back of the hotel area.. but would not recommend hotel at all... Booked online for a stay in Toronto and made a note that we have a cat, got a message saying no problem. Showed up after a long day, was told they only accept dogs. Emailed asking for a refund, they are only willing to waive a pet fee at next stay. And apparently they do accept cats. Why would I ever stay at a place with such awful service that lies? More...

We stayed at the New Monash Parkroyal in Vic on 17th and 18th April.. Staff were amazing, they went above and beyond to help us. The hotel has taken us in from our flights about ( I think ) 9 days ago, for quarantine which is 15 days in total, it was not easy, the first three days and we felt it, BUT the management and the staff here have been special, looking after us even though i know we were a little too hard on the staff in the first 2 days. ! BUT on reflection they have gone out of their way to help us, bring fresh linen, towels, food, water, wifi is the best I have used, good views from the rooms, The GM Rob Weeden is an amazing guy very friendly even I this situation. I know this situation is hard for everyone and everyone has their different situations in here but they are trying their hardest to please everyone and I am just humbled by it all . My cruise for March 22nd, 2020 leaving from Singapore has been cancelled and if I can’t get a refund, I just want to use my credit at Pan Pacific Vancouver. I’ve been told that I can only use this credit by years end at Singapore hotel. I’m in Canada and have no plans to go to Singapore this year. Had a great 3 night stay with my husband. We arrived from the airport at 6am and our room was ready and we could check in. The Club Lounge was a great place to meet up and the selection of free drinks was excellent, just wish UK hotels would take up this idea too. Room was very spacious and clean. Note sure about the phone by the toilet but each to their own. Would definitely recommend the hotel for its facilities and location. If we are in this area again would definitely stay again. More...
