I order regularly from Mr Ds. I get deliveries normally once a week too work (about 5 min drive) and it’s always tasty and hot. The reason I would not recommend. Is because I was charged a 15% surcharge on a public holiday and was not told of this, instead it was in small print on the menu . I had to find someone to take my order and We waited well over 35min for our food. My husband and I are disgusted. Ordered online delivery for a second day in a row today as my experience was poor yesterday and hoped it was simply a case of a busy rush and a bad day, but sadly today wasn’t much better. I had ordered an hour in advance and asked for delivery at 12. My food arrived 25 minutes late, was cold, and was a bit small for the high price tag of $10. My experience was the same the day before, although I had forked out $23 for a small burger and $4.50 for a small and cold side of chips. I had never tried Mr D prior to this and unfortunately I will not be ordering anymore. I also will not be recommending it to anyone I know. I do hope to finally have a good experience down the track when I decide to give it a go again, but for now I will be going elsewhere. More...

If you’re in a hurry don’t order a take away from this place. The Barrista works harder than the other 4 staff behind the counter. We had a 20 min wait for 2 coffees. Honestly management needs to address staff responsibilities so the Barrista can simply make the coffees. Go elsewhere! More...

I frequent Mr. D fairly often for coffees, and I’m never let down with the service or the consistent quality of the coffee. Tonight my wife and I had dinner there for the first time in months. As always, the food was amazing. Everyone can agree on that. But I want to touch on the service we received... The young bloke who took our orders and served our food was absolutely fantastic. Owner is completely f#@kn rude and thinks he is never wrong as you can tell from the replys he gives all his bad reviews. my wife is the toasted cheese lady, he was msging me trying to get her to take it down . i replied no just educate your staff and you wont have this issue he then deleted me and blocked me. The sooner you learn the customer is right the better your business will become. 4.30 on a Friday arvo, I pop in for a hot drink and a toasted cheese sandwich. There was 4 front of house staff on, and only 3 other tables of customers. Worst service I’ve experienced in Bairnsdale - completely uninterested staff who had no knowledge of the menu and were chewing gum loudly whilst rudely telling us the item we’d ordered wasn’t available after waiting 45 minutes already - then wandered off without offering an alternative or even a menu so we could reorder.
