Q&As

I work with the client to set achievable and trackable goals. This would generally involve some kind of testing or measurement. Then there is a semi-regular check-in and retesting to assess if we're on track. Most important to me is regular communication with the client to ensure we're working in a way that suits them, and what they're trying to achieve.

Be realistic and prioritise health over image. This is not really my domain, nor is it something I like to encourage. it's a slippery slope to an unwell place when you solely focus on image.

I love that health and wellbeing is my job, and that I get to help others achieve this while still looking after my own health. I love seeing my client's improvement and every little milestone is a huge achievement in my eyes. I'm a people person, so I enjoy catching up with my clients each week and hearing about how what we are doing is helping them on a daily basis. I love that this job is both flexible, but also self-motivated so I can work exactly when I need to, while still being highly involved in our family life.

Nothing beats working for yourself. I am self-motivated and do not like being told that things are not possible, or that they're too hard, which has been the case working for larger companies. That, and dealing with bureaucracy in the workplace.

I am friendly and caring, and will do my absolute best to help you on your journey towards what you want to achieve. I love the variety of my clients and the difference in their goals. This encourages me to continually work at being a better trainer.

Training focusing on building strength and muscle, while retaining balance within the body. I am a big advocate for single sided exercises and paired / supersets, for the best balance and overall workout for clients

Strength and conditioning focused on the specific physical attributes required for your sport of choice. Background working with Netball, AFL and Hockey at sub-elite to elite levels. Background with grassroots level training for enduro / motocross, surfing, snow sports, rugby codes

Experience running boxing classes for a variety of gyms. focusing on fitness and technique. Strong understanding of solely using boxing combinations to elevate heart rate, but I can incorporate "Boxercise" based work if you prefer.
