I am passionate about helping couples and individuals develop better coping strategies so that you can live better lives. There are Medicare rebates for eligible clients of up to 10 sessions per year and some Private health insurers also offer rebates. My approach to therapy is integrative and I am trained in quite a few evidence based therapies including EMDR for trauma, addiction, depression, pain, complex PTSD, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, CBT, Schema Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Your treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs and we work together as a team to help you reach your goals.
I help you to understand the factors that have contributed to you feeling the way that you do. Once you have gained some insight into what is happening in your mind and body, we set about rewiring your brain using research-backed psychological interventions to help you to learn the skills and techniques to take you through the rest of your life successfully.
Being the partner of a first responder, I truly understand how you are feeling and what you are going through. I understand the impact of trauma on the individual, couple and the family system. I have my own story too and since changing my career, I have devoted my life to helping others to overcome their pain and build wonderful and successful lives.
