Jake and his team at JANDA are the BEST in the business at what they do. Their communication, professionalism and attention to detail is absolutely above and beyond. They well and truly soundtrack a wedding day perfectly! Jake and Gem soundtracked our day - Gem’s voice is incredible! They perfectly transitioned from their acoustic set into a DJ set that had the dance floor going ALL NIGHT LONG. Jake was also our MC and did a fantastic job. If you are planning a wedding in SE QLD/northern NSW look no further than JANDA - we are so, so grateful to have had them as our suppliers. They worked with us through 3 date changes due to COVID border restrictions and their communication was incredible. I cannot recommend Janda Events enough! We had our original band drop out of our wedding only 6 weeks out. I called Janda Events after a quick google search and after finding Samir on their page an Instagram stalk later and my partner and I decided Samir was the guy we need to perform at our wedding! By the end of the week Samir had changed his plans and made himself available for us. Jake and the team were so accommodating and to top it off Samir was amazing! We caught up for breakfast after the wedding with friends and family and everyone was raving about how great his voice was and how great he was with the music! Honestly so happy with our decision. Jake from Janda Events was our Celebrant last month and we could not have had a better experience with him. We met multiple times before the big day and each time I left feeling more at ease and comfortable with him. He also played our canapes hour and all of our guests loved his music! The atmosphere that Jake created through our ceremony was so powerful, I look back at our expressions in the wedding photos and they range from deep belly laughs to sobbing tears, If we ever renew our vows Jake we wouldn't do it with anyone else. Jake made our day! He made a real effort to get to know us and his delivery as an MC was perfect! He's a legend of a guy and it was awesome having Jake as part of our day and our memories for the future. He was super easy to work with and really understanding about the uncertainties of booking with the current travel restrictions. In a year that brought a lot of uncertainty, we were fortunate to have made the very good decision to choose Janda Events to be our muso's on our wedding day. They were meticulous in their approach to understanding our musical preferences (which they devlier - I've heard some not-so-good stories where the musician's basically ignored the bride and groom's preferences) and their chilled approach helped create some truly magical moments. Jake was recommended to us by a mutual friend. Our first catch up with Jake felt like we were just like catching up with an old friend. He made the whole process simple and easy and allowed it to be one less stress to add to the already overwhelming experience planning a wedding can be. Jake understood us not only as a couple but as individuals and his celebrant speech reflected that. He made it fun & entertaining, yet serious when it needed to be. Jake was amazing. Totally made our whole day run smoothly. Not only was he our celebrant but he did acoustic and then DJ later on, exceptional, Jack of all trades. Jake was phenomenal, he totally made our day. He got ‘us’ in every sense and had everybody in stitches from start to finish. Absolutely authentic, friendly and easy to talk to about the most intimate parts of your relationship and he brought our whole day together. We had Dan and Chelsea perform at our wedding and they were great! They played live for our ceremony and were able to play the songs that we wanted. They did an awesome version of our first dance song! After the father daughter and first dance they rocked the rest of the night with a DJ set. Jake was our celebrant for our wedding a few weeks ago, he was also our musician and DJ along with gem. We had the most amazing day with their help, our guests were blown away when they first heard Gems voice, she is unbelievable. Jake as a celebrant made us feel so comfortable and at ease during our ceremony, it was light hearted but also told our story beautifully. A lot of our guests actually thought Jake was a friend! We felt like he really understood our story together and went the extra mile to get to know us. We even caught up a few days before just for a coffee and a chat! Jake gave us the most memorable, hilarious and personal ceremony we could ever have asked for. He was so easy to talk to throughout the whole process, even from afar! Jake's chilled vibe was exactly what we needed both before and on the day. I want to go back and relive the whole thing again! immediately after the ceremony every single guest asked me who Jake was and commented how amazing the ceremony was. I had multiple friends asking if it was ok if they booked Jake for thier wedding! We chose the I do and Yew package which meant that everything was covered without having to talk to 100 different people. Jake and Alisha were absolute stunning musicians and played such a great mix of tracks later on in the night.
