What do you love most about your job?
I love to see clients emerge from therapy with a greater sense of worth, having confronted issues in a safe space, feeling heard and supported. It's an honour to be witness to the growth, resolution, empowerment and release that client's often experience as the result of our counselling sessions.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my own business partly because I didn't want to be constrained by some of the systems associated with other clinics. In many places, the 'intake' process is complicated and can take several weeks for an appointment to become available. I wanted to be able to see clients quickly, and at a price that is comparable to the out-of-pocket cost of seeing a therapist through a larger clinic with longer waiting periods. I also enjoy having the ability to set my own work times, and to make myself available outside of regular business hours when necessary.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a fully qualified Counsellor, with a background in several areas of the health industry, in addition to being a group facilitator and public speaker. I have broad life experience and have been exposed to many cultures, religions and traditions, having lived overseas for several years. I have a great deal of respect for every client I work with, acknowledging first and foremost, that we all deserve to be heard and valued, and that we hold within us the answers to the questions we have in life. Having the right counsellor who can provide you the space to explore your deepest thoughts, feelings and questions, and help you identify patterns of thinking and behaviour that are sabotaging your efforts, is the difference between a successful outcome or not. I guarantee that I will provide that space for you.
