Stay n Train
Here at Hanrob, we offer a tailored in-house training program – Stay N’ Train. When enrolling your dog in one of our programs, rest assured they’ll enjoy comfortable accommodation at our facility as well as daily training enrichment facilitated by our expert trainers. Designed to address some of the most common dog behavioural issues, our Stay n’ Train dog training courses have been proven to offer lasting results in a relatively short space of time, resulting in a happier dog and a happier you!
We have a team of dog training experts nationwide that are qualified to address and correct complex behavioural issues such as fear, anxiety or aggression, and even mild behavioural issues to improve manners. Be it a modification in behaviour that has developed overtime or heightened during the pandemic and lock-down, we have seen it all and can help improve your pet’s quality of life through our Stay N’ Train programs.
Your pet will have a dedicate dog trainer throughout their stay, working to build a deep personal trust that will allow for the new teachings of our dog training framework. Our large network and shared group knowledge will ensure your pet has access to the best resources all under one roof.
No matter the course or areas you are seeking to improve, our programs are all designed to build a stronger trust and bond between pet and owner. This is why training is as much for you as it is for your dog. We provide owners the tools and training skills to ensure that you understand what your dog truly needs for a happy and healthy life and incorporate an in-depth departure lesson to prepare you for life when you return home.

Our Stay’n Train courses all begin with an assessment of you and your dog’s unique needs, so we can be certain we’re providing the best bespoke training program for you.

Areas that can be addressed in our Stay N’ Train programs include:
Basic obedience – commands such as sit and stay
Recall training – response and return
Leave it commands – response to ‘stop’
Polite manners – jumping up and pulling on clothing
Reactive dog behaviour – fostering positive socialisation skills with pets and humans
Reconditioning – introducing new environmental stimuli
Lead and walk – walking to the left with no pulling or distractions
Anxiety – addressing issues with separation, feeling overwhelmed or impacts of the pandemic
Aggression – including towards humans or dogs
Fear – from people or dogs
Home Dog Training
There are times when only training in your own home will do. Bringing home a new puppy or adoption dog, for example, or when targeting a behaviour unique to your home environment such as digging, barking or chewing. Thanks to our In-Home Dog Training, we can help you get on top of any problem behaviours, or simply educate you and your dog in basic obedience.
Conducted by our expert dog trainers in the comfort of your home, the one-on-one session will efficiently and effectively tackle the issues your dog is facing. Packaged as two in-home sessions, which run for 90 minutes each, our dog trainer will you provide you with the tools to incorporate training skills in your home environment. Our first session will enable our dog trainer to observe and consult on the patterns of your dog’s behaviour, where we will develop a pre-agreed learning plan and outcome. During our second session, we will put into practice and teach the new skills that will reinforce the new desired behaviour.
The initial 2 sessions include;
An in-home consultation with your entire household and four-legged friend
Observing your pets behavioural patterns in and around the home
Identifying initial findings and agreeing to a plan for the second follow-up session
Putting into practise the new skills and teaching them to your family
Providing a plan to ensure you continue the new reinforced skills post the final session
20% of subsequent home dog training lessons for life!
We understand that each pet family is unique and learns at their own pace, so we are here to guide you at all stages of the journey. After your initial home dog training sessions, we offer additional training lessons in your environment at a 20% discount.
Private Training Session
If your dog is in need of a refresher when it comes to obedience or you simply want to strengthen the foundations of earlier dog training, then our Private Dog Training Classes are a perfect choice. Held on-site at our Dog Training Academies, one of our expert dog trainers will spend time with your dog, targeting problem behaviour and reinforcing positive outcomes.
Our private lessons last one hour and afford our educators valuable time with your dog, to guide them towards positive outcomes or give them a little refresher following earlier training.
Puppy Pre-school
Puppies have boundless energy and are an exciting addition to any home. However, parenting a puppy brings challenges – especially for those with little to no experience. Without a basic understanding of some common skills to teach your puppy, it may be disheartening to have a puppy who refuses to listen to you and a home that is fast becoming destroyed.
Hanrob Puppy preschool is for puppies aged between 8 and 18 weeks old. Our puppy classes are designed to build strong and confident puppies. We do an introduction to basic obedience, but we focus mainly on socialisation with people and dogs, as well as environmental socialisation. We show you how to implement boundaries and work on puppy management techniques as well as address all those common puppy problems including digging, jumping, biting and toilet training. The course is made up of five lessons over a five-week period and your puppy will graduate after the fifth lesson.
Our Puppy pre-school will not only teach your pup the basics of training obedience, but will also help your dogs socialisation skills. The class environment allows your puppy to learn in a real world environment to ensure the best results. The early months of your puppies life are crucial to their learning, which is why Puppy school is designed to coincide with your puppy’s critical development periods, between 8 and 18 weeks of age.
