An amazing dinner at El Toro tonight! The scotch fillet was the best steak we’ve had in a restaurant in a long time and the roasted veg salad was not just a side dish - highly recommend this! Stephen was attentive and his 40 years of working in the industry was a masterclass to those who want to work in hospitality. After wandering around Margaret River looking for breakfast on Sunday morning we ended up at El Toro, absolutely no regrets, the service was very friendly and the food was amazing, they’ve only just started doing breakfast but you’d never know. Highly recommend!

After reading a lot of great reviews about El Toro, my partner and I decided to book in for our Friday night dinner. The atmosphere was only good vibes, it wasn’t too loud and the decor/murals on the wall were great. The service was good, all staff checking on us throughout the night and having a little chat, which was nice, the chat about our day and time in MR didn’t go on to long but the waiter showed interest.. our mojitos were great, not sweet, but refreshing and easy to drink through the duration of our meal. Let me talk about the food! We started with the guacamole, salsa and tostadas.. fresh, full of flavour. Can’t really fault it. Then onto our mains. My partner had the lamb shank special, the portion size was good, the sauce rich and full of flavour and vegetables, the lamb.. fall off the bone. My main (which was advertised as a entree) the picnaha… MIND BLOWN.. every mouthful I just wanted more. A perfect balance of flavour and textures. I’ve never had a dish that I have wanted to cry over.. this was it! Delicious 🤤 The rump cap was so melt in the mouth, the little salad and the carrot purée just Devine!unfortunately my photos were blurry… so you will just have to try it yourself!! I have been to El toro 3 times and can’t wait to go back. The awesome decor and murals are worth going for alone but on top of that the staff are charismatic and efficient, the food is Amazing and the owner is a local legend! The vegetarian gnocchi is to die for, the fried chicken is the bomb and I’d give my left leg to find out what is in the secret red sauce. The last time I went I even braved takings my 3 fussy children and it was a big resounding thumbs up. Definitely recommend 100 stars! More...

I am embarrassed to say it has taken me so long to get myself in here and what a loss that has been at my expense! OMG this place is amazing! This was one of if not the best dining experience I have had in a long time, every dish we had was absolutely delicious with the fish being the best I have ever eaten in a restaurant. We found El Toro on Google accidentally. It is incredible! We had the croquettes, chorizo, Gnocchi and red bread. Every single dish was delicious and very unique- more an adventure than dining. It’s BYO so we got to bring the exact wine we wanted and the manager came over and walked us through the menu enthusiastically. All staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend! We just celebrated our 22nd Anniversary at El Toro Margaret River (in Western Australia). It was amazing beautiful. We had gorgeous Grilled Rottsnest Prawns, amazing Sea Scallops with a perfect Rouille Sauce, the beautifully aged and prepared Bistecca 1. 2 kg T-bone steak, Patatas Bravas and Roasted Young Carrot/Beetroot/Quinoa/Almonds and Chevre. We love trying out new local restaurants and we were not disappointed with El Toro. Smart, friendly service from our waiter Stephen meant that our time here was relaxing and fun. The food is very good, exceptional in fact. Cooked over real charcoal with plenty of passion, all our meals were very, very good. Steaks cooked perfectly and sides that really complemented the main course. Deserts were fantastic, beautiful rich churros and a spectacular Gin Gin gin macerated Blueberries!
