I’ve booked DJ Wasabi for the Arcadis POTY’s awards night, and he was exceptional. His DJ service was outstanding, and he could blend 80s & 90s music with current music for the event, arrived early to set up, and exhibited high professionalism. One of his highlights was his flexibility. He played music from the playlist we gave him and took some requests on the night, which was greatly appreciated. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Knowing the type of crowd prior is crucial, as it allows me to prepare my music for the night ahead. In conjunction, being adaptable on the night is also an important element as the audience might not feel the music I have prepared, and in doing so I'll play other kinds of music to keep the dance floor popping off.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I've been told I'm pretty smooth with my transitions but can also spice up the event where I can surprise the crowd.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love about what I do is the technical study and practice behind DJing. Coming from a technical work background makes me appreciate this. In addition to this, building rapport and developing my relationship with the host is an enjoyment for me. At the end of the day, my role is to help make your dream event a reality with the right music. Furthermore, collaborating with the host is helping me to fuel my passion to perform for crowds playing a variety of musical genres.
Why should our clients choose you?
My future clients should choose me as I put the effort and care about putting on a great night for all the guests. Hence, before the event, I ask for all the intricate details of the event, including the age of guests, type of music, any special equipment required, etc., so that I get all the information I need to put on a show that's tailored to the audience in front of me. I also have immense experience with DJing at different events for all ages. I understand how to read the room and be flexible to play music people would love.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I have done two doses of the Pfizer Vaccine. Furthermore, I usually like to sanitise before coming to the event and during the event at all times to keep myself and my guests safe.
