Joe Niko Jnr better known as stage name DJ Takenotes hails from the worlds #1 most liveable city Canberra, Australia. Growing up around music meant he would naturally be curious and would search out all types of music that piqued his interest. High school opened up all doors of possibilities and a particular set of dj mixtapes would land in his lap which would be replayed over and over on trips to and from school, during class, lunch breaks and pretty much anytime he was able to have a set of headphones and his sony cd player and as they all say "the rest was history".

Often quoted for his sense of track selections at the right moment and at the right time is what makes this dj standout from the rest of the crowd. The ability to navigate situations in which the crowd is hanging on every moment of his live sets is what has placed DJ Takenotes in a whole different lane and has earned the respect and appreciation from his followers, clients, fans but also his peers in the business for 10 + years.

DJ Takenotes is an open format DJ and his wide span knowledge of music lays the cornerstone of why he is starting to re-emerge as a serious contender in the Australian DJ scene. After a long hiatus from a car accident back in 2012, DJ Takenotes is now getting back to making and producing music in all forms and  is looking forward to bringing the feel good vibes along with changing people's lives one track at a time. 
His recent online mix series notably his Old School Nostalgia Tapes and New Bangers mixes has garnered a number of views and likes on different online platforms and the growing number of listens to name some of his recent successes and concurrent projects.
