What’s your interior design process?
Through my Consultation Interior Design Workshop, specifically designed for homeowners and home builders, and based on 18 years’ experience, I provide support every step of the way.
You will gain:
Confidence, as I dive deep to really understand your needs and wants by asking the right questions about your lifestyle and how you and you family use and move around each space.
Inclusion, as I show you how and why we are making design decisions and you begin to play an important role in all planning.
Peace of mind, as I explain the principles and techniques in a non- technical way.
In the Workshop, I develop two to three concepts to illustrate how colours, materials and textures work together. This enables you to understand all the elements within each concept.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
I’m an interior designer with extensive experience in designing display homes as well as helping clients translate the display home ‘look’ when
they purchase a home.
One of my strongest talents is tailoring this ‘look’ to meet your budget while ensuring that any changes to the original design are both
functional and adaptable.
I often encourage clients to check with either myself or another interior designer before making changes to an original plan. Changes can often
go astray (such as having doors and windows which don’t align) and become expensive.
I bring a trained designer’s eye to every project that I undertake so that all stakeholders: client, architect and builder achieve their goals.
There are many wonderful building companies in Australia where I have styled their display homes and continue to collaborate with today. Essentially, I’m happy to work with any company my client chooses.
After working with me you will feel secure with a safe pair of hands who understands what you want in a dream home, as well as the confidence
from keeping within budget and finally, pride in creating your personalised home.
Right now, this support for homeowners has become essential as working from home is normalised. Making every space functional is now a high priority and the elements of Feng Shui which I employ, can deliver a sense of harmony and balance.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I realised very early that I’m a highly visual person: watching television advertising was fascinating, taking me on an ongoing creative journey.
I was eventually pulled towards the interior design industry, where I could express my passion for organising spaces with a unique
personality and atmosphere: providing comfort, luxury and timeless elegance.
In 2007 I joined a leading NSW construction company as a senior interior designer. Over 12 years, I completed over 100 display homes,
many of which were named winners at the MBA Excellence in Housing Awards and the Housing Industry Association Awards.
Soon, clients began to approach me after seeing my work in display homes, cementing my position as a leader in my field.
