I have been a client of Christie's for 12 mths now.Christie is unlike anyone I have met before, her calm, loving and professional demeanor is very unique. Her ability to understand where a person is at and use her extensive knowledge of helpful tools, techniques and suggestions is of a very high level. She empowered me to make some difficult decisons in my life that I didnt even realise needed to be changed when I first started my sessions with her. She assisted me in seeing things for myself in a subtle and loving way and I will be forever grateful to her for her time and energy. More...

I love my every interaction with Christie and I can find it hard because she asks me questions I don't always want to face but I know I need to. I guess that's why I go to her because I can't do it alone. She also makes it ok for me to be me. I always walk away feeling good enough and exactly where I am meant to be. I can't recommend her enough. More...

I walk away from every conversation with Christie seeing the world, and myself, in different ways. She has a unique talent in listening and asking just the right questions to unlock new insights. Her non-judgemental and compassionate approach means she instantly became a trusted advisor for me. She is the first person I refer anybody who needs some additional support to More...

Safe. This is the word that came to my mind as soon as I met Christie. Christie was really quick to build a connection that allowed me to step into my anxiety and work through what the beliefs that I held that triggered me, and as it happened also held me back.

It's Christies tenderness and care which allowed me to explore places I hadn't before. The practical exercises and activities that I took away from each session are hugely beneficial and used each day.

I continue to check in with Christie as needed and have recommended her to friends and others that I know Christie will benefit from her exceptional counselling & psychotherapy skills. I highly recommend Christie to anyone who wishes to have a deeper sense of self, to feel joy and a connection.

Christie holds space for all and any emotion/response and makes me feel safe to experience these honestly. I come from every session with her feeling more open, at ease and wanting to be more kind to myself and others. I can’t recommend her enough.

Services

I offer a trauma informed integrative approach to healing and transformation by weaving together a range of healing modalities and wisdom so I can best meet you where you are at. I will also integrate talk therapy with mindfulness, nature connection practices and body based approaches such as yoga and somatic coaching.

I believe that healing and transformation is made possible by becoming aware of and embracing all of the parts of self with compassion, delving deep into the subconscious to retrieve their gifts, and then enlisting them as much needed companions on your journey.

I will work with you to deepen your understanding of your wounding and build your capacity to hold your wounding in ways that can offer peace and wellbeing. I do not believe that you need to be fixed and I will never try to do this. However, I may offer you some practical tips and frameworks where they could offer you support.

We all experience loss. Change in itself always involves a loss. Loss can be physical, the loss of property through misplacement, damage or theft. The loss of a relationship through a breakup, divorce or death. Loss may also be symbolic, the loss of the status of who we once were (wife, friend, boss) or the person we had hoped to become. Loss can be collective, for example the losses we have experienced as the result of the pandemic.

Grief is our personal experience of the loss. And because we each experience grief differently our grief can leave us feeling isolated at the exact moment that we really need to be connected to others.

When we grieve, we are not only asked to carry the grief for the immediate loss, but we are also invited to tend to other rivers of grief that come to the surface, unresolved grief, old woundings, the parts of ourselves we send away.

If you are experiencing loss and grief, no matter how small or large, I am here to support you to tend to your grief with reverence and compassion. My counselling sessions, grief circles and retreats offer a sanctuary where your grief is welcomed and embraced, a space to make sense of your loss through sharing and reflection, a process to transform and heal through courage and love.

For those engaging with me as a couple, it is my intention to support you to become aware of the stories you are holding as a couple and as individuals. To bring about an awareness of how your personal histories, powers and privileges and cultural traumas show up in the ways you relate to and care for each other.

I will endeavour to create a safe space for you to speak the unspoken, to be unafraid to ask each other the hard questions, to see and hear each other’s needs. Where appropriate, I will share tools to support you to navigate conflict and to experience new ways of connecting.
