Q&As

The unique opportunity to enter into a therapeutic relationship with another human, to see people be their own heroes, and be there to help them grow.

I can offer services both in person and via telehealth.

Services

For each client, a new therapy is created. I draw upon my skills and experience through psychodynamic psychotherapy, relational therapy, CBT and other skill building and psychoeducation modalities.
Meaningful changes begin when we make meaningful understanding about ourselves, our plight, challenges and difficulties, and how our past has shaped this. This begins with fostering a therapeutic space of openness, truth, and motivated interest in who you truly are, the parts of you that you're aware of, and other parts, wishes, needs and desires you're not aware of. We investigate this through understanding your history, but how this repeats itself in your life and the therapeutic alliance as well.
With understanding we begin to know how and why we'd like to make changes, and we can begin to creatively find solutions, tools and skills and draw upon the resourcefulness that you have within yourself.

What we learn about ourselves and putting into place new ways to be in the world can be powerfully enhanced by group therapy, specifically a process group. In this space made of like-minded people, we have a safe 'social laboratory' to investigate real-time interpersonal experiences, gain insight into ourselves and how we see others, and are given chances to try out new behaviours.
