I am a professional and experienced bridal hairdresser based in Sydney and Newcastle. I do location weddings and often travel to the South Coast, Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley. I have over 17 years of experience working as a wedding hairdresser, arming me with an abundance of techniques (and tools).

What do you love most about your job?
It feeds my altruistic nature and it provides a creative outlet.
What inspired you to start your own business?
A salon I used to work at 20 years ago had a wedding gallery. We were known for weddings. When weddings started to become 'location weddings' a few friends asked me to come out and do their hair, so I did, from word of mouth I began getting more bookings so then it evolved. I have been able to work in a salon and recently switch to an undergraduate where I am now completing a bachelor of social Science while maintaining my wedding clients. I love that!
Why should our clients choose you?
A mother of the bride once told me that she liked me because I am 'normal.'
I love that and take it as a compliment.
I feel starting hairdressing at 15 years old (in 1998) has given me generations of experience. I have the 'old school' grit in my approach and strive for longevity. It is more than a job to me, I make sure I get it right!
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I have a covid safe plan, QR code and sterilise all of my equipment after each wedding. I carry hand sanitiser and even before covid, I would wash my hands in between clients. Currently, I am required to wear a face mask. I implement what I have to.
Wedding Hairdressing
I cover everyone you want to include including the grannies, aunties, bridesmen and groomsladies. I have managed 11 people on my own in the past and sometimes work with an assistant for larger weddings.
My services include a hair trial before the wedding, hair care and styling advice leading to the wedding and I offer to style the grooms party for free (within time and location limits).
All of my brides are given a touch up kit for the day.
