Big Fella's Burgers

We got an order for pick- up... went down at the time it generated... the person at the counter was really bad and slow service for not many people. .. we had to wait 20mins just to get to the counter to tell about the pick-up, the guy had to idea where it was or anything so spent some time looking... the found it... so when we got home (2mins) our onion rings were cold, and the two gourmet burgers with loads of expensive extras were soggy... mine was not edible at all. Was still warm, but the bread, lettuce etc were like they were dragged up from the bottom of a lake. Disappointing as the flavours were great and huge portion sizes. Chips were good. So having them sit for 25mins in wrapping because of poor service was main issue... and maybe way way too much sauce/ chutney. Will give them a second chance.

The front counter guy also tried to make us pay for our order even though we already did via online. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ More...

These guys are ahead of the pack when it comes to there food and customer service, we accidentally ordered delivery 5 minutes before close when I noticed the time i expected the order to be cancelled, however the guys there went above and beyond and from the moment of Order to delivery was 19 minutes. Let me start off with this review

Big fella burgers is located at the end of Peel Street in the old building that used to have Pizza Hut/taste breeze Indian cuisine in it

Walking by this business you will be welcomed with an unpleasant smell of oil
I’m not sure if that’s just because of the type of oil they use but it is definitely not a pleasant smell.

But don’t let that smell turn you off from the food because,
the beef burgers from his place are actually are decent they have a nice char on the beef patty giving it a natural smoky taste.
With crisp vegetables and not too heavy-handed with the sauces finished off with
nicely toasted buns providing a perfect balance of flavours for a burger.

The menu has a rather reasonable range to choose from to suit most burger lovers and chicken lovers. The price for it is actually rather reasonable plus competitive to their competition.

Signature Fried chicken they offer has a great crumb/batter with flavours similar to KFC.
Unfortunately that’s where all the positivity ends
The fried chicken will leave an unpleasant oil flavour in your mouth.
This maybe due to the type of oil are use
But this is a very minor issue and it’s still worth a try the chicken.

What this business is really lacking is customer service skills and the ability to send out multiple orders at the same time.

Upon placing an order there seems to be no real interaction with the customers,
even something as simple as “how has your day been” or “ good evening welcome to big fella’s burgers can I suggest you try such and such” would make the experience so much better.

You may produce decent food but you also want to have the overall experience making you feel welcome to come back again.

Considering how many other burger places are in this town, you do not want to be lacking in your customer service skills.
If I was to walk into a competitive burger shop just around the corner, you are Immediately greeted.
And even with them wearing a mask you can tell they’re still smiling behind it.

Now let’s get down to if you want to come here with a small group of friends hope you’re ready to wait because they can’t seem to be able to send out the food at the same time.
So wile are your eating your food it might be at least 30 minutes until each of your friends get their food.
I know this isn’t technically a restaurant and it’s classified as fast food but 30 minutes plus doesn’t seem reasonable for a burger considering your competition seems to be able to send out group orders at the same time.


despite all of this, this place is still worth consider trying at least once.
I am looking forward for them to improve their few flaws to make this a more pleasant experience for future customers. 

My only advice to customers is be sure to order ahead.
