Best FX is an internationally awarded sound/Video facility that services the local, national and international film, television and advertising industries. The company comprises of the Best FX - sound production/editing studios, and Boom Sound - a Dolby approved surround sound mixing theatre. Jumpensqueeze - Video editing
The company was established in 1992 by Pete Best who began his audio career in 1982 at Street Remley Studio’s in Adelaide. Pete developed his specialist skills in casting, direction and sound design, and, in 1992 established the Best FX business, to provide high-end digital audio design, production, sound supervision & mixing for film, television and radio.
In 2000 Pete started Jumpensqueeze video suit starting with an Australian Tour with Ben Folds Five.
Boom Sound is South Australia’s only privately owned Dolby Digital 6.1 EX approved mixing theatre for feature films and cinema sound, including 5.1 mixing for HD and Digital TV, multi track preparation, complete cinema mixes in Dolby SR and Dolby Digital. Additional to Boom Sound are three audio editing suites offering a total feature film post-sound package.
Pete Best personally endeavours to support and encourage the development of the local and national film industry and its people.
Our philosophy is to work closely with and foster local talent including producers, directors and other key creatives to enable and encourage a rich and varied industry. Added to this is the growth of its Australia and OS reputation for uncomplicated audio excellence.
