Had a really nice steak sandwich (cooked to perfection) and reasonably priced, out in the beer garden for the Sunday afternoon session with great music from Richard Waterson. Will be back for sure.

The schnitzel they use for the parmi looks like a generic cheap schnitzel you'd buy from a butcher, that cheap nasty coating with too many herbs, first time round one of the chefs forgot to put napoli sauce under the ham and cheese and although the head cook that was on tonight made an effort to fix the issue (she was very friendly) the schnitzel was just not enjoyable at all, although this is something that is probably out of her control.

Came in for a meal with my family, straight off the bat son and his partner had to take their meals back NO sauce on their parmies, mushroom sauce is just gravy and tinned champignons, pepper sauce not much better. No air-conditioning inside the dining room. Son couldn't eat his parmy, which is a first, way too many herbs in the crumb, not a qualified chef to be seen. went to this hotel and decided to have a seafood platter for my wife and i,and two others when it came out i thought we a nice serve each but no there were two small platters for four of us for $34 each, thats $136 for 4 people ffs, should have went to the loal fish shop. I booked in late last evening and staff waited until I arrived. This old pub has a very good vibe to it and I will be back again around the area soon so I my consider the establishment a "local" . Very nice pub. God Bless

Absolutely abysmal service. A shame considering my parents really loved this establishment. As someone who has seen wrong orders served at much more expensive establishments being owned up by the manager as a stuff up, you should own up for your mistakes. Table of 4, all different orders and paid separately. We had no idea what eachother had ordered. The chef served up our meals on the counter, waived at all meals, said they were ours. We were surprised at the food so he reiterated that it was all ours. In that spread was a platter of 12 oysters. We shared the oysters as a family and ate our dinner. We were then approached by the manager/owner, a male, where we were told because we had eaten the stuff up we had to pay. This is disgusting. The chef served us the wrong thing and we did not realise until we were approached. WE were blamed by the man and then when I argued in a calm manner, he consistently talked over me. I had to proceed to raise my voice (customer service 101: shut up and let your customers state their stance), I did not swear whatsoever and was not abusive. He then proceeded to threaten the cops because apparently it was our fault for the stuff up despite being served by a chef? Maybe take a drive to Brisbane and see how customer service is done in the city. Maybe you will learn as a business to take responsibility for your stuff ups, understand that customers at the same table don't always order together and that you need to take ownership of your stuff ups. You have lost repeat customers. No response you author will prove that you are in the right. There was a chef at our table dining tonight who confirmed stuff ups like this in Brisbane establishments are ALWAYS worn by the business and docked from chef pay. More...

We booked upstairs with a spectacular view from the balcony. The man who fixed the heater for us had amazing service. The meals were yummy even though there wasn't many choices on the menu to choose from. . thanks covid... Some things to consider- telling people who book that upstairs is outside would be beneficial, informing people that they have to walk downstairs to get their drinks and collect their food which is a major inconvenience and problem for elder or injured people who aren't aware.
