What do you love most about your job?
ATAR Private Tuition supports students across Australia in achieving their academic goals. There is no better feeling than seeing the moment when everything clicks for our students. As a team, we are not only proud to be able to transform our students grades, but their lives too.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Our founder, Bronte Buckley, graduated in 2020 with an ATAR 99.95. After experiencing some personal set backs in Year 10, she decided to pursue the support of a tutor. Not only did her tutor explain things in a way that actually made sense, but sparked an unstoppable love for learning. After landing early entry into a Bachelor of Medical Science and Laws, Bronte started APT to change the way students view academic success. She believes a good ATAR is all a matter of mindset and motivation. Now, we’re that source of motivation for over 500 students nationwide.

ATAR Private Tuition offers a wide range of services - from private in-person and online sessions, to exemplar assessments and our new weekly lecture series. Our online sessions are conducted in a collaborative environment which is designed to engage students of all ages and abilities. We understand that in-person sessions aren’t suitable for everyone, that’s why APT Tutors are specially trained to deliver the highest quality level of support to our online students. What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
In order to promote the health and safety of our clients, ATAR Private Tuition ensures all in-person tutors have an up-to-date vaccination status. Further to this, we have strict policies in place to ensure there is limited transmission between students and tutors. These include wearing a mask when necessary, tutoring in an open area and sitting 1.5 metres apart where required.
Primary Tuition (Prep - Year 6)
APT's Primary Tuition focuses on building the fundamental skills for success within our Prep - Year 6 students. Our sessions work in line with the Australian Curriculum to enhance literacy and numeracy skills, as well as analytical and evaluative thinking. We both support and challenge our younger generation, preparing them for a successful future by creating confident and well-rounded individuals.
ATAR Habits (Year 7-9)
ATAR Habits sessions are designed to support and challenge Year 7-9 students in preparation for their senior years. We show students how to work to their strengths through understanding different study and mindset strategies, whilst also consolidating any weaknesses which are stunting their success. APT takes a hollistic approach to student learning, not only focusing on academics but also creating confident individuals who are ready to tackle challenges throughout life.
ATAR Success (Year 10-12)
ATAR Success sessions are aimed at students in Years 10-12. As recent ATAR graduates, we understand the struggle that students senior years bring. Our tutors have experienced the same stress, creating strategies and techniques to triumph within school and throughout all aspects of their lives. ATAR Excellence (Year 10-12)
ATAR Excellence sessions are formulated for students in Years 10-12 aiming to achieve entry into competitive university courses. No longer are the strategies to suceeding throughout school kept secret- APT shares it all. ATAR Excellence sessions include content consolidation, organisational and mindset strategies as well as career pathway planning. We don’t just give our students the answers, we teach lifelong habits to form their own success stories. We’re run by students for students.
Senior Holiday Headstart (DISCOUNTED)
Offered over the Summer Holidays, our Senior Holiday Headstart Program is offered in 5, 7.5 or 10 hour options. Conducted by our specialist subject tutors, the program aims to prepare students to hit the ground running in 2023. We focus on the consolidation of individual weaknesses and provide students with valuable strategies to approach new academic expectations. Like all sessions, we work at the students pace and provide resources specific to their needs. At APT, you can guarantee success.
Primary Headstart (DISCOUNTED)
Offered over the Summer Holidays, our Primary Holiday Headstart Program is offered in 5, 7.5 or 10 hour options. Conducted by our flexible subject tutors, the program takes advantage of the Holiday period, not only keeping students’ at speed but also preparing them to hit the ground running in 2023. We offer a hollistic focus on the consolidation of individual weaknesses and provide students with valuable strategies to approach new academic expectations confidently.
