Process:

• Device a module suitable for the student’s personal needs
• Develop the student’s weaknesses one at a time
• Keep providing more challenging exercises as their skills get higher
• Ensure they have learnt how to self-develop by the end of our sessions.

Arabic Translator and Interpreter (Capability statement and achievements in About me section)
Duties:
• Ensuring I am always up to date with emails so I don’t miss important documents or requests
• Acquiring information about the length of document, due date and direction of translation to ensure I am able to complete the task in time before accepting a job.
• Arabic is my native language so translating is the easy part.
• Word checking document to ensure accurate translation, spelling and grammar.
• Sending document in at least 1 day early in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
• As an interpreter, depending on the nature of the job, I hold a certain level of professionalism and detachment (in a legal setting) and translate word for word exchange as accurately as possible. Or if it is in a more relaxed and personal setting, I would remain professional but show empathy as these situations are usually very difficult for the patient and they require a certain level of trust from the person who can understand them.

About me:

I am a Bachelor of Counselling student proficient in both English and Arabic languages, including speaking, reading, writing and accurately interpreting. I was born in Egypt and studied Arabic since the age of 3. By grade 4 I had mastered up to graduate level Classical and Modern Standardized Arabic. My high achievements continued as I migrated to Australia at the age of 10. I learnt to speak, read and write the entire english language from scratch after three months of adaptation. After 6 months, I was completely fluent and had no foreign accent. Today my highest mark on an APA essay is a perfect 100%. This is an important achievement as it speaks for more than just my intelligence. The APA writing style requires perfect writing, grammar, comprehension, knowledge, research, literature, attention to detail and the kind of commitment you cannot find in many individuals. I have tutored many friends and fellow students both in Arabic and English and helped them achieve excellent marks by building their skills separately before combining them to teach them how to continue being a straight A student.

Tutoring Service:

My teaching method entirely depends on the student, as a counselling major my main focus is the individual needs of my student. My first lesson will be a free 45 minute initiation class to introduce myself and create rapport with my student as it is very important that the student is entirely comfortable with their tutor in order to be completely attentive and driven. In the introductory lesson I will assess the student's strengths and weaknesses and discuss my recommended teaching approach with them according to their most interactive learning style (eg. visual, auditory, theoretical). If the student is happy with our discussed approach to our lessons, I will inform the guardians of our decided course of action if the student is a minor. I will not require a same day decision, as the student may change their mind, but will only begin the personal student module after I receive confirmation and an agreement to sign a 10 lesson minimum legally binding contract as putting together a personalized custom module is a lot of hard work that I cannot afford to waste time doing if someone changes their mind after a clear discussion and timely agreement. Cancellation Policy: Allow at least 24 hours notice for cancellations to avoid cancellation fee of full lesson charge. In case of emergencies, if appropriate documentation is provided, cancellation will be free of charge.
