What makes a great website?
? What Makes a Great Website (Straya Edition):
Dead Easy to Use
If your site’s harder to navigate than the Outback without a map, you’ve lost ‘em. Keep it clean, simple, and straight to the point.
Looks Bloody Good
First impressions count – like rockin' up to a barbie in thongs and a singlet, it better look the part. A tidy, modern design goes a long way.
Loads Quick As a Roo on the Run
No one wants to sit around waitin’. Your site should load faster than a servo pie heats up.
Works on Any Device – Even a Busted Old Phone
Whether folks are on a flash laptop or a cracked screen mobile, your site’s gotta work smooth as.
Top-Notch Content, No Rubbish
Give the people what they came for – clear info, good pics, and none of that salesy dribble. Just real talk.
Trustworthy as Ya Mum’s Lamingtons
Solid security, clear contact info, and maybe some testimonials to show you’re the real deal.
Easy as to Find on Google
No good havin' a beaut site if no one can find it. Gotta have that SEO sorted, so you're not lost in the digital bush.
Call to Action – Tell ‘Em What to Do
Want ‘em to book, buy, or give you a bell? Don’t muck around – say it loud and proud.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
? Discovery Questions (Gettin’ to Know the Client)
What’s your business all about, in your own words?
What do you do better than your competitors?
Who are your main competitors – and who do you reckon is doin’ it right?
Who’s your target audience – age, interests, location, that sort of thing?
? Website or Project Specific
What are you hopin’ to achieve with this project? (e.g., more sales, enquiries, bookings, awareness?)
Got any existing branding we need to follow? (logos, colours, tone of voice?)
Are there any websites you like the look or vibe of?
Do you have existing content (text, images, videos) or do we need to whip that up too?
Is there a deadline or launch date we’re workin’ towards?
? Technical & Functional Stuff
Do you need features like contact forms, online bookings, e-commerce, live chat, or logins?
Are you already using any platforms or tools (like Shopify, Squarespace, WordPress, Mailchimp, etc.)?
Who’s handling hosting, domains, emails, etc. – is that somethin’ you need help with?
? Marketing & Growth
How are people finding you now? (e.g., word of mouth, Google, socials?)
Got any current marketing strategy in place? SEO, ads, email marketing, socials?
Do you want ongoing help once the project’s wrapped? (like maintenance or digital marketing?)
? Communication & Collab
Who’s the main contact on your end?
How involved do you want to be throughout the process?
How do you prefer to stay in touch? (email, phone, Zoom, carrier pigeon?)
Throw these into the convo and you’ll get a good handle on what the client needs – saves you from going walkabout halfway through the job.
Describe your creative process.
? My Creative Process (In Plain Ol’ Strayan)
1. Yarn First, Create Later (Discovery)
I start by havin’ a proper chinwag with the client. Ask the right questions, suss out the business, the audience, and what they’re actually chasing. Gotta get the vibe right before we dive in.
"No point paintin’ the shed before you know what colour they want."
2. Scopin' It Out (Planning)
I map out what needs doin’ – pages, content, features, timelines, the whole kit and caboodle. Everyone gets on the same page so there’s no curly surprises down the track.
3. Chuckin’ Ideas on the Table (Concepts & Moodboards)
This is where the brain kicks into gear. I sketch out ideas, make moodboards or wireframes, and play with colours, fonts, layouts – all the good stuff to start bringing the vision to life.
"Bit like throwin’ a snag on the barbie – test it out before servin’ it up."
4. Gettin’ Stuck In (Design & Build)
Time to put the tools to work. I start buildin’ the real deal – designs come to life, content gets polished, and things start lookin’ schmick.
5. Client Check-Ins (Feedback Loops)
I’m not goin’ off in the bush on my own – I check in with the client at key points. Get their thoughts, tweak what needs tweakin’, and make sure we’re still headin’ the right way.
6. Final Touches (Polish & Prep)
Once the big stuff’s sorted, I go over it with a fine-tooth comb. Check the copy, test the tech, and make sure it all works smooth on any device. No half-done jobs here.
7. Launch Time! (Go Live)
We flick the switch and send it out into the world! Big day. Maybe even crack a cold one to celebrate.
8. Aftercare (Support & Growth)
I don’t just bail once it’s live. I stick around for any updates, training, maintenance, or digital marketing. Gotta look after what we’ve built, yeah?

What do you love most about your job?
? What I Love Most About the Job
Mate, the best part? Bringin’ ideas to life. There’s somethin’ bloody satisfying about takin’ a rough idea – maybe just a scribble on a napkin or a “we need a website” convo – and turnin’ it into somethin’ slick, smart, and actually works.
It’s that buzz you get when a client sees their brand or site for the first time and goes, “Yep, that’s exactly what I had in me head.” Love that moment.
I also froth the variety – no two jobs are the same. One day I’m workin’ on a tradie site, next day it’s a yoga studio or a surf brand. Keeps me on my toes.
And honestly? I just love helpin’ people grow their biz. Feels good knowin’ what I build is makin’ them money, gettin’ them noticed, or takin’ a load off their plate.
What inspired you to start your own business?
?️ What Inspired Me to Start My Own Biz
To be honest, I got a bit sick of the 9-to-5 grind – answerin’ to people who didn’t really get it, dealin’ with meetings that could’ve been emails, and buildin’ cool stuff that someone else got the credit (and the cash) for.
I’d always had a knack for design and problem-solvin’, and I figured – why not back myself? I knew I could help people, do it better, and do it my way. No fluff, no run-around – just honest work, good chats, and results that speak for themselves.
Plus, the freedom to choose who I work with, when I work, and where I work from? That’s the dream, right? Whether I’m workin’ from the kitchen table, a café, or some beachside Airbnb – I’m in control. Feels pretty bloody good.
And honestly? Seeing a business owner light up when they see what I’ve built for them – that never gets old. That’s what keeps me comin’ back for more.
Why should our clients choose you?
? Why You Should Choose Me

I don’t muck around. We’ll get to the point, no fluff, and you’ll always know exactly where we’re at. No surprises, just results.

I’m all about long-term success. I don’t just want to create something that looks good today, but something that will work for you tomorrow and down the road. Everything I build is made to last, be easy to update, and scale with your growth.
Personal Touch
You won’t be passed around from one person to the next. I’ll be with you every step of the way – from the first chat to the final launch and beyond. Your project is as important to me as it is to you.

I’m not just here to deliver a service; I’m here to solve your problems. Whether that’s making your website more user-friendly, helping you rank higher in Google, or making your business look more professional online – I’ll find the best way to help.
A Bit of Aussie Flair
I bring a fresh, no-fuss perspective that’s focused on real results. Plus, if you’re lookin’ for someone who values communication, collaboration, and a bit of personality in the mix, I’m your person.
Post-Launch Support
My job doesn’t end at launch. I’m here for the long haul to ensure everything’s running smoothly and that your biz keeps movin’ forward. Need a tweak? Got a question? I’ve got your back.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
? Adapting My Services to Keep Clients Safe from COVID-19
Fully Remote Services
All my services are already offered online, so there’s no need for in-person meetings. Whether it’s web design, branding, or digital marketing, everything is done remotely via video calls, emails, and collaborative tools. This ensures that clients are safe, and we can keep the momentum going without physical contact.
Virtual Meetings & Consultations
Instead of face-to-face meetings, I offer Zoom, Google Meet, or phone calls. This lets us discuss projects, ideas, and feedback without needing to be in the same room. It also makes it easier to meet clients no matter where they are!
Contact-Free Payments
All transactions are handled online, ensuring there’s no exchange of cash or physical cards. Clients can pay securely via PayPal, bank transfer, or other online methods, which makes it both safe and convenient for everyone.
Digital Collaboration Tools
I’ve streamlined the workflow using digital tools like Slack, Asana, Trello, or Notion for project management. This means clients can review designs, give feedback, and stay in the loop without needing to meet in person or exchange physical documents.
Flexible Timelines
I’ve adjusted my timelines to be more flexible, understanding that some clients may have disrupted schedules due to COVID-19. If something comes up on your end, I’m happy to adapt and work with you to ensure deadlines are still achievable.
Health and Safety When Necessary
If I need to meet in person (for a specific reason like site visits, photoshoots, etc.), I ensure I follow all health guidelines. That means wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing, and ensuring the area is properly sanitized.
