What I love most is helping people find their place to belong. Whether it’s a sea change, a tree change, or their forever home, there’s something incredibly rewarding about guiding clients through what can be a complex process and seeing their excitement when it all comes together. I thrive on the connections I make and the trust people place in me to help them make one of the most important decisions of their lives.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my own business because I wanted to offer a more personal, client-focused experience—one that puts people first and takes the time to truly understand their needs and lifestyle goals. Having the freedom to make values-based decisions and tailor my service was incredibly important to me. I also wanted to specialise in helping people relocate to or within the beautiful Coffs Coast, a region I know and love, and with my team at Coastal Property Buyers, we also service the Mid-north Coast - North Coast - Newcastle - Central Coast​​.

Yes, absolutely. I regularly work with clients from interstate and overseas and offer a fully remote buying service. This includes virtual property inspections, detailed video walk-throughs with commentary, suburb reports, and Zoom consultations. Every step—from initial brief to settlement—can be managed without clients needing to be physically present, making the process seamless and stress-free.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
While restrictions have eased, I remain mindful of client safety. I continue to offer contactless services where preferred, including remote meetings, digital document signing, and virtual inspections. When in-person appointments are needed, I follow hygiene protocols and respect client preferences around distancing and mask use to ensure everyone feels comfortable and protected.

This option is the top choice for our clients. Vanessa provides guidance and support throughout your home-buying journey, alleviating the hassle of constant searching, researching, and negotiating. For our out-of-area clients, there's no need for constant travelling, only to find that properties are unsuitable.
Initial Brief Preparation:
1. We request you complete and return your Buyers' Wish List to give us a clear picture of what you're hoping to achieve and to ensure we can help you with those goals. After discovering your desires and must-haves, Vanessa will then meet with you online, in person or over the phone to create your personal Property Brief. This is our guide to finding you the location and the property you LOVE!
Search & Research:
2. This is the most intensive part of the process. We search extensively and utilise our established networks to find your ideal property. We then use investigation techniques to extract and analyse data from several databases for research and analysis.
The Reporting:
3. Vanessa will provide you with a shortlist of properties from the results of our search. Vanessa will consult with you on the next step(s) and offer her expert advice.
Physical Inspections:
4. Vanessa physically inspects your preferred properties on your behalf and reports on her findings PLUS Vanessa can arrange a live video walk-through at a suitable time to inspect your preferred properties with you, virtually.
Due Diligence:
5. A critical step in the process. We liaise with and coordinate your engaged third parties such as; building and pest inspectors etc. to guarantee your choice is a sound one. We follow up reports to ensure you receive these in a timely manner because acting swiftly is critical.
The Negotiation:
6. Vanessa is a skilled negotiator, working for you to get the best deal. Vanessa is committed to representing you to the best of her ability. More often than not, our fee is either fully or partially negated during this phase because of the savings Vanessa may be able to achieve on your behalf.
The Delivery:
7. Contracts Exchanged! Time to celebrate.
Appraisal & Negotiation
This option is for buyers who have the time and confidence to conduct their own search and research. Vanessa acts as your representative to negotiate with sales agents on your behalf, plus provide an estimated market value of the property utilising our detailed research and analysis, plus local knowledge.
We are engaged for this service so that we can:
Swiftly assess the market value by visiting the property you've located; and/or
Use our sophisticated process of extracting data for research and analysis;
Utilise our local connections to further enhance our findings; and
Negotiate firmly on your behalf.
