Free Business Advisory and Mentoring (** Conditions apply)
In partnership with the Victorian Government, VCCI are running a free business mentoring program
Who can apply:
 small businesses with less than 20 full-time employees. For the purposes of the program, a small business owner can be a sole trader, partnership, private company or trust that operates a small business
 applications from businesses that employ 20 or more full-time employees, but have a turnover of less than $50 million, may also be considered
Eligible business owners receive up to four 2-hour sessions with a mentor who will help them make informed decisions about the future of their business
These sessions can be used in a variety of ways, depending on the challenges businesses are encountering and include:
 Business survival – setting objectives and direction for a business and identifying new opportunities
 Market transformation – developing more effective marketing strategies and identify new products and services
 Digital literacy and engagement – identify new online strategies and tactics to diversify and attract new customers and markets
 Market and supply chain diversification – create smarter ways of doing business and building efficiencies in your operation
 Reskilling and retraining – plan and identify areas needed to grow skill and experience to help grow the business
Business Health Check
The Business Health Check service is specifically designed to help you take control of your business and secure even better results. Using the service, Transcend will help you identify the ‘weak links’ in your business and define a plan to improve performance.
The Business Health Check reviews and identifies opportunities for improvement for each of the following perspectives:
- Strategy and Leadership
- Finance and Operations
- Sales and Marketing, and
- Delivery and Staff
Operational Performance Review
Having developed your plan for improvement, the key thing that most business owners lack is the discipline to review business performance on an ongoing basis.
Having assisted you to build the plan, your Transcend advisor meets with you every month or quarter, as agreed, to keep you accountable to your Plan, KPI’s and financials.
The Transcend advisor will facilitate the review and provide an action plan of what needs to be achieved by the next meeting.

Assistance in writing a business plan or a plan to commercialise a product - one that can be followed easily and that can be altered as your business grows or comes across challenges.
