I would not recommend this company.I read alot of negate reviews about this company prior to using them and thought - maybe my experience will be different, but that was a huge mistake. Please read these reviews carefully, and look for reoccurring themes because IT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU.Issue 1: movers working so slowly.When you are getting charged by the hour, every minute counts but these people were moving like they had all day to mack around. I was moving a one bedroom apartment - this job took 6.5 hours. 5.5 if you remove the travelling time to get to my new place. The movers like to take their time. I was able to move stuff to my vechile twice as fast.Issue 2: I was quoted 138 per hour - what I didn't realise is that they have a 10% loading of gst on EACH HOUR making their hourly rate about $151. I wish this was clearly discussed with me on the phone when I called to request a quote because I would not have booked with them. I ended up paying $1000 for a one bedroom apartment ( without a couch, and I had already moved some stuff myself). What a rip off!If you are going to use this company, call up and make you they give you a full break down of their fees including the added “gst”. I had quotes from other companies that were a fraction of the cost and I wish I would have listened to the negative reviews.Only one item (that I know of) was damaged in this move which is not too bad I guess. We went with Rocket Removals to move from our double story house in Cranbourne to another place, and we had the smoothest experience possible. Eddie, Harry and Brian were the three gentleman that were assigned our job, and they were the most friendliest, hard-working and professional removalists we could have asked for.Everything was packed so well and carefully with blankets, and utmost care was held to ensure our items got moved safely and promptly.No damage occurred whatsoever and they were all very accomodating to our requests and needs.Professional, on time, reliable, careful, friendly and all at a very respectable cost.Cannot recommend these gentleman and Rocket Removals enough,Thank you again guys!Matt, Dave and Collette. They damaged my recliner!I picked this removalist based on the Google reviews to move my 2BR apartment which took them more than 7 hours. (When I moved into the old apartment that removalist took about 4 hours for the job).After several days I found a hole in my new recliner which I notified to these people. Their response was so late and when I didn't get a response other than "I have forwarded your query to Operations" I decided to get my recliner repaired which cost me $550.When I forwarded the repairer's invoice to Rocket Removals asking them about the possibility of claiming it from their insurance, they responded me after several days claiming I have signed a document just after the moving job has been completed, confirming everything is intact. When I informed them that I found the damage after several days their stand was that since I have signed the document, and since their staff who did the job has an excellent track record they normally cannot give me anything but willing to refund me a "goodwill gesture" of $78.Since the actual cost I had to incur was $550 I have asked them as to how they arrived at $78 compensation but they never replied as as such I have rejected their offer. I was only moving 15 minutes down the road, so they sent a truck that was far too small to take all my belongings, even after i clearly told them the size of my home, and the amount of items i had. This was done on purpose on their part to necessitate two trips and greater costs.To further add insult to injury the two removalists then started to demand regular "rest breaks" stating that it was a "requirement under law", lol! Overall they sat around for an hour doing nothing, and even demanded a lunch break be thrown in.They turned what was already a stressful situation with organizing cleaners and other tradesmen into a complete nightmare.The cherry on top of this complete fiasco was when the two removalists then started pressuring me to "only pay in cash", which was contrary to the arrangement and understanding i had when i first spoke to their reception. They lied to me by stating that card payments wouldn't work after 5pm.An angry call to their head office soon put that little scam to rest. Regardless, their head office tried to sweep it under the carpet insisting everything was just a "big misunderstanding".My advice - avoid, avoid, avoid these unprofessional people, especially considering there are far more honorable and honest businesses to choose from. How they got such a high rating to begin with seems completely convoluted, considering my horrific experience with this mob, and also considering more than one person has rated them 1 star, and for much of the same reasons when reading those reviews.Their response even insinuating I'm lying...shameless. We hired rocket removals to move our furniture etc on Thursday 19th September. They called the previous day to confirm details and time of arrival. They arrived on time and started work immediately. The used plenty of packing etc for protection, keep us informed of what was happening. Removalists themselves were great, used Rocket multiple times before something went wrong.Put my furniture in a storage unit which was less than professional, and then when items were damaged, response times to resolve issues are severely lacking - its been 3-4 weeks since my last response and still not a peep of an indication someone will be coming back to me.
