I spent $300 and almost a year down the track, I hadn't had anything on my Ancestry.com tree corrected and not a single person added. I noted upfront that I had an Ancestry tree that likely had a double up error and none of this was rectified. Apparently original paperwork was sent through the mail and lost. There was no tracking number. I send between 40 and 100 parcels a days, yes I get delays but they completely lose about 3 items a year. Who sends 'original' paperwork through the post without photocopies or tracking information? It was either deceit or outright unprofessionalism. One or the other. I get it information takes time but almost 1 year down the track? Avoid, avoid, avoid. I would get excuses of family issues, family health, all the reasons that pull heart strings with promises they would follow up in a couple of weeks. It was always me chasing to follow up with only more delays delays delays. I have asked for my money back, but of course nothing yet again. Even $150 would have been something, but of course not. I was ripped. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. I would give 0 if I could. More...

What do you love most about your job?
Helping people trace their family trees brings a lot of joy and great satisfaction. Some clients know very little to start off with and their reactions as their tree and branches grow is very rewarding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started tracing family trees due to leaving the public service sector. I did issue Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates. I started photographing cemeteries and transcribing records as a volunteer for some time and still do as time allows. I was tracing family trees for people as a hobby over a long period of time when I decided to help people full time.
Why should our clients choose you?
Each family tree is different, no two being alike but I would like to believe that I have gained knowledge and skills over the years across a wide range of subjects and geographical areas.
Apart from using online resources, I also like to create family record sheets and gather and piece information manually without a computer. That helps identify what areas research may be more needed.

Yes, I live very remotely and have researched many places. Some research can be done online but there are also some great resources that require knowledge off-line and how to gain access to them.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
My business and services have not been affected or impacted by Covid-19 due to ability to access records remotely.
