Where do I even begin?! We had Fiction’s new country-style band, Throwdown 🤠, perform at our recent hoedown event—and wow, did they bring the house down! They played an incredible mix of songs, most with a country vibe or a fun country twist that fit the theme perfectly. Not only did they sound amazing, but they looked the part too—dressed head to toe in country style, adding so much to the atmosphere. Their energy was infectious, and the crowd absolutely loved them. I don’t even know where to begin! Fiction are on another level. They made our wedding an absolute vibe—the energy they brought was electric. We are beyond grateful and cannot recommend them enough! From start to finish, the dance floor was packed, and our guests were just as into it as we were! I honestly didn’t want the night to end, and neither did anyone else. Fiction and Sally are the best damn band in the land, they just blew us away! They were an absolute treat to chat with, plan, and eventually experience on our big day, and made every accommodation including personalized cultural aspects for the MC portion, and absolutely killed it with their live music! Everything was done to have us enjoying our day stress free. They are so so talented and absolutely brought the house down and everyone to the dance floor. Everyone loved them, they were the absolute highlight for entertainment for the night. We will of course never forget our special day, but that too includes how great Fiction were. What a band! From our first interaction Sally and the team made planning and organising the music easy and fun, everything we wanted was never a hassle. They set the vibe for our wedding from the first song, everyone (140 guests) were all up dancing. They read the room so well and were able to keep everyone dancing and singing night long. I honestly feel sorry for anyone who doesn’t have fiction at their wedding. Sally and the band were an absolute VIBE. I cannot tell you the amount of guests we had who have commented on them saying how incredible they were. And the guests didn’t even see the behind the scenes! From the very beginning and meeting - booking them on the spot at another wedding because I heard them once and couldn’t not have them, then the song choices, we gave them a few songs they didn’t know and they absolutely nailed every song. A band that can go from taylor swift love story to killing in the name of in the same breath AHHH… the genres, the voices, the band. PERFECT. I cannot recommend this incredible band highly enough! The guests were literally screaming "one more, one more, one more!" by the end of the night because of how epic they played every song ! The covers are classics that you'd absolutely want to hear at any and every function. The talent from the lead vocalists were second to none - they sang a range of belters *and* soft songs with ease! They have spectacular guitar and drum solos, harmonies, and the capacity to pull everyone up to the dancefloor instantly. What do you love most about your job?
We LOVE creating an amazing vibe. We are very passionate about getting to know our clients in the lead up to their events so that we can create the perfect personalised soundtrack.

What inspired you to start your own business?
We love the feeling we get of performing - whether it is just us in a rehearsal space or its in front of thousands of people - the energy for us is still the same. We are doing what we love.
This is exactly the type of thing people should do for a living - so we made it a reality.
It's this that keeps us motivated to stay fresh and continuously improve and expand on what we offer.

We had our live performance recorded professionally and streamed worldwide.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We provide a wireless microphone at each event which is able to be utilised for speeches etc. This microphone is disinfected between uses at each event.
All equipment is cleaned between events.
We also carry a kit of disinfectant wipes, hand sanitiser and disinfectant spray as a standard to ensure we are able to keep ourselves and our equipment lean at all times during an event.
The Core Four Band
Our Core Four piece band consists of Female Vocals, Drums, Lead Guitar & Bass Guitar.
As a group, we have been performing together professionally for 13 years.
Each member of the band is highly skilled & very talented.
Our repertoire is huge, spanning over just about every genre - & of course, expanding every day.
Fiction has the ability to expand to add more musicians, including male vocals & saxophone - elevating the Fiction experience even further.

Acoustic Duo
Fiction Duo consists of the bands co-owners, Sally Jackson & Phil Williams.
Sally sings & plays acoustic guitar, & Phil plays a Cajon kit.
This set up is unique, and we have yet to see it elsewhere - allowing the duo to keep tunes chilled & vibey, or kick into some upbeat tunes for the dance floor!
The repertoire remains unaffected - and Sally & Phil are by no means afraid of a request - in fact we welcome it!
Country Music
