What inspired you to start your own business?
Brendon's interest in construction stemmed from his youth. From the classic back yard, gum tree cubby house to toy catapults and balance beams, he soon came to realise his love for engineering applications in the real world.
Brendon's designs have been published in architecture magazines and he has won multiple design awards.
His award winning projects can be credited to his 10 years of experience in the industry where he was responsible for the design, documentation and site supervision of a vast array of buildings, swimming pools, marine structures, landscapes, facades, tower cranes, and signage. Within these structures he has designed elements in steel, masonry, concrete, timber, aluminium & glass.
Two structures that Brendon is well known for is the construction of a basement under an existing building cut into the sand dunes of Point Piper and the repair and upgrade of the historical and dilapidated Tempe tram shed to meet current design standards.

Residential Engineering
We can assist with the structural design of new architecturally designed houses, as well as alterations and additions to existing homes. This includes working with clients seeking to preserve heritage listed structures.
Elegant Engineering also have significant experience in the structural design of multiple-dwelling, multiple-story residential developments.
Other services include the design of swimming pools (including alterations, submerged windows and cantilevered glass wet edges) and the engineering of retaining walls.
Commercial Engineering
Elegant engineering can assist with your next commercial development. This includes the structural design of new commercial buildings, including offices and hotels.
Additionally, we can assist with the strucural assessment and upgrade of existing structures, including heritage listed buildings.
Other services we often facilitate for our commercial clients includes the retrofitting of basements in existing buildings, mezzanine additions and facade design including aluminium louvres and awnings.
Signage Engineering
We specialising assisting clients with the engineering of signage to accomplish their business’ goals.
This includes the structural design of individual freestanding signs, sky signs and other building signage. We can also assess existing sign foundations to retrofit new signage.
For rebranding projects we can provide typical installation details to assist with the roll out of multiple signs across multiple sites.
Elegant engineering can also facilitate custom aluminium extrusion and software development.
Glazing Engineering
Elegant Engineering have years of experience working with glass in residential and commercial developments, including the structural design of glass stairs, platforms, skylights and frontages.
We can also assist with facade design and documentation.
Special Projects
Elegant engineering is well positioned to assist clients with proprietary systems design, review and development, as well as the structural design of modular systems that cater for transport and ease of erection.
