What do you love most about your job?
As a photographer, I love the feeling of capturing a moment in time that will last forever. It's like freezing a feeling, an emotion, a connection – a story that will be cherished for years to come.
There's something magical about using light and composition to create a visual narrative that resonates deeply with people. It's about more than just taking a picture; it's about telling a story, evoking emotions, and leaving a lasting impression.
I also love the creative freedom that comes with photography. Every shoot is different, and I get to be constantly learning and evolving my craft. There's always something new to explore, from experimenting with different lighting techniques to discovering unique perspectives and compositions.
But most importantly, I love the people I meet and the stories I get to tell. Connecting with clients, hearing their vision, and helping them create memories that will last a lifetime - that's what makes this job truly rewarding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Starting my own business was about more than just pursuing my passion for photography—it was about creating something truly personal and meaningful. Photography has always brought me immense joy, capturing raw emotions, fleeting moments, and real connections that tell a story. I wanted to bring that joy to others in a way that felt authentic and true to who I am.
By running my own business, I can take full control of the entire customer experience, ensuring that every interaction reflects my values and vision. From the first conversation to delivering the final images, I love being hands-on and making sure my clients feel seen, heard, and completely comfortable.
Most importantly, it’s about having the freedom to create work that’s genuinely mine. Owning Chalk and Cheese Photography allows me to approach each wedding or portrait session with creativity and heart, focusing on the beauty of individuality and the little details that make every story unique.
