Bull & Bear Projects has been operating for over 15 years, delivering high-quality residential design and construction projects throughout the Newcastle region. During this time we have completed a wide range of renovations, extensions and custom homes, building a strong reputation for craftsmanship, attention to detail and professional project management.

What guarantee does your work come with?
All work completed by Bull & Bear Projects is carried out in accordance with Australian building standards and is covered by the statutory warranties required under NSW building legislation. For residential building work, this includes a 6-year warranty for major structural defects and a 2-year warranty for all other defects, providing our clients with long-term peace of mind.
We are also fully licensed and insured, and we take great pride in the quality of our workmanship and the materials we use. Our commitment to careful planning, experienced trades and strong project management ensures that every project is delivered to a high standard and built to last.

What we enjoy most is the opportunity to design and build homes that are truly tailored to the people who live in them. Every family, site and budget is different, and we find it incredibly rewarding to create bespoke solutions that respond to those unique circumstances.
From the early design stages through to construction, we enjoy working closely with our clients to understand how they want their home to function, feel and evolve over time. Seeing an idea develop into a thoughtfully designed and beautifully built home that perfectly suits the family and the site is one of the most satisfying parts of what we do.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After working across a range of roles in architecture, commercial construction and residential building in San Diego (California), Canberra and Newcastle, I gained valuable experience in how projects are designed, managed and built at different scales.
That experience highlighted an opportunity to offer something more integrated for clients, a service that combines thoughtful, bespoke design with practical construction expertise. I started Bull & Bear Projects to bring those disciplines together, providing clients with a more cohesive approach where design intent, buildability and quality craftsmanship are considered from the very beginning.
The goal has always been to deliver homes that are carefully tailored to each client, their site and their budget, while maintaining a high standard of design and construction throughout the entire process.

Yes, we are able to provide many of our services remotely and have successfully delivered projects for clients who live interstate and overseas.
We have developed our own project management software and mobile app that allows us to manage projects, communication and documentation in a fully digital and paperless environment. This platform enables seamless collaboration between our team, project consultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers throughout the entire project.
Clients are able to stay closely connected to their project at all times through real-time updates, progress photos, design documentation, selections and communication all in one place. This system allows us to efficiently coordinate projects and maintain clear communication, even when clients are not physically located near the site.
As a result, we are able to confidently deliver projects for clients wherever they may be located while still providing a high level of transparency and engagement throughout the process.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
During the COVID-19 pandemic we implemented a range of measures to ensure the safety of our clients, team and subcontractors while maintaining project progress.
We adapted our processes to allow many aspects of design, planning and project management to be completed remotely through video meetings, digital documentation and our dedicated project management platform. This enabled clients to review drawings, selections, project updates and progress photos online, reducing the need for in-person meetings while keeping everyone closely connected to the project.
For site visits and essential meetings, we followed the health guidelines and hygiene practices in place at the time to maintain a safe working environment. These systems also helped us continue delivering projects for clients who were located interstate or overseas during that period.
