What do you love most about your job?
Helping families navigate the difficulties of separating in a non-adversarial, cost-effective environment.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I felt there was a need that wasn't being met. Separating couples were often left with little option other than using lawyers. Our adversarial legal system often worsens a bad situation, adding to the massive cost of using lawyers. So when I discovered Family Dispute Resolution, I could see a way to help families separate smarter, more timely and cost-effectively.
Why should our clients choose you?
We have our own mediation suites, plenty of parking, and a warm and welcoming environment. Our space is designed to suit the needs of our clients, not the legal system. We offer a full range of services, including shuttle mediation, help in drafting orders and contacting the other party on behalf of the person initiating the FDR process. We also offer Child-Inclusive Mediation, are child-focused, and are the only exclusive Family Dispute Resolution practice in Melbourne.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
At Bayside Mediation, clients have the choice of using a face-to-face process or video. All four of our practitioners can provide video mediations that include lawyer assistance, shuttle service, or any other requirement needed to help our clients reach an agreement.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We have a hand sanitising station at our front door and regularly clean and disinfect our rooms.
