I've recommended this music school to lots of parents, my daughter has loved it from the moment she started. The teachers are fantastic and they are absolute champions of their students, always encouraging and helping them achieve their personal goals. We've attended a few of the informal performances during the school holidays and have noticed how supportive the teachers are with every student. They care about their craft and it shows. More...

As an adult beginner (1 year in) this is excatly what I need. The venue is great with private rooms that are nice and bright, lots of parking around. More...

My son does ukelele lessons with Callum and absolutely loves them. Charlie is only 3 years old and for his birthday a friend gave him a ukelele. He would hassle myself, my husband and my parents for guitar lessons for months on end. I spoke with Steve who said he was a bit young but let’s give it a whirl since he is so passionate about guitars. (My son falls asleep every night listening to acoustic guitar music). Callum is calm, helpful and repeats the info as much as Charlie needs to get it right. We are going slow and careful, keeping it fun and steady for a little fellow. Callum has let me join in so I can help Charlie practice. Charlie runs around with his guitar every day and can’t wait to see Mr Woodward on a Friday for a 15min private lesson. It’s very cute and heartwarming. Thankyou Callum and Steve. More...

I started taking my daughter here last year when she was in year one. She showed interest in music and learning piano so I hoped this could be fostered. Advantage has done just that - she has the most lovely and professional music teacher that manages my daughter’s often boisterous character and builds her confidence. She is now completely self-motivated with her piano practice and clearly loves it. We are also starting singing lessons this term - excitement is an understatement! I can highly recommend Advantage! My son has been part of the Early Starters programme since he was 2.5 years, and one year down the track, music with Steve and Brock still brings more excitement than a birthday party! Having attended many classes of all types over the span of 3 children, I can honestly say that this programme is exceptional in terms of content and delivered with true care and passion. It is constructive and builds musical enjoyment and awareness in a way that is pure fun and the consistency of the classes builds confidence in the children. I cannot praise this music school enough to be honest but the greatest measure is that my child can’t wait to get there and then doesn’t want to leave. Not to mention the joyful reproduction of class content that fills our ears at home all week in between classes. More...

Early Starters Music & Movement (2-4yrs)
Exclusive small-group classes for very young children. Lots of movement, hand percussion, very basic piano skills, musical vocabulary, and singing. To ensure every child experiences growth, we only allow up to 4 children in one class and do not allow mid-term enrolments in an existing group.
Instrumental lessons for School Children
Piano, violin, voice, and guitar. Our tertiary-educated and experienced staff work closely with students and their families to address the student's learning needs, interests, and goals. Every week learning goals and instruction video content is made available through an app to ensure students know exactly what to do at home when they practice.
Students have a minimum of 5 performance opportunities every year, one of which is held at the UWA Conservatorium of Music. Primary-school children participate in a reward system in which they receive points for achieving goals and practising, which leads to prizes.
