Tanya did the hair and make up for my mother, mother in law and myself for our elopement. My mother looked absolutely amazing, even my Dad made a comment. I provided photos on how I wanted my hair and makeup to Tanya and she was bang on! I wanted a natural look and my eyes to stand out. As cliche as it may sounds, I was speechless, It was really overwhelming to look in the mirror and see a beautiful women starting back at me. Lovely Tanya is so much more than a hair and make-up artist — she was a confidant, security guard, wedding witness, unofficial photographer and organisational queen all in one! Her presence was so calming as she helped me get ready on the day of our New Zealand elopement and made sure everything was perfect for our first look, taking the time to make any last-minute tweaks. I’m so glad she got to come along for the helicopter ride — it was also such a funny surprise when looking through my phone to see that Tanya had taken some cheeky photos of us on the day. It goes without saying that the look she created for me was beautiful, and I loved that her products are cruelty-free as well. I'm so beyond grateful I chose to have Chic do my hair and makeup for my wedding day! They came highly recommended to me, and from my first point of contact with them they were professional, friendly and helpful. They were so warm and lovely at my trial, and immediately made me feel totally comfortable. They are exceptionally experienced and good at what they do - and really took the time to personalise my look and ensure I was 100% confident. On my wedding day they were absolute angels and beautiful calming presence in the mayhem before the ceremony! Particularly given it was a 44 degree day and they had their work cut out for them keeping makeup on my face and my curls in tact! These lovely ladies played such a big part in how well the whole day went. From the minute they arrived, we had another few girlfriends to join us in the excitement of the day. They kept us so calm and prepped us for what was ahead. The looks they created for us were just unbelievably PERFECT - they took the direction we were looking for, and created a look for each girl that was just stunning and so much better than we could have even imagined. So happy with the beautiful work that Chic Artistry did for my wedding. I was lucky enough to meet both Tanya for my trial and Kayla for my big day and both these ladies did an incredible job. The makeup was natural and beautiful and lasted all day! The girls all looked fantastic too. Kayla was so much fun to have around on the wedding day, fitted right in with all the girls and was super relaxed! I couldn’t have been happier with Chic Artistry and the absolutely amazing job they did with the make-up at my wedding. I couldn't recommend Kayla or Chic Artistry more if I tried! I knew that I wanted a relaxed and fun vibe while I was getting ready on the big day and Kayla delivered. Not only did she do a beautiful job on our makeup, but by the end she just felt like a friend. My bridesmaids quite literally said they wish they'd had Kayla do the makeup for their own wedding days.
