We arrange to visit the site and follow through when additional information/measurements are required. Initial assessment, quotes and information is communicated easily through email or WhatsApp with the Client. Projects include additions to existing houses, extensions and complete remodelling projects including interiors, for residential, commercial, industrial and healthcare. Registered to submit plans nationally and have certifications on latest mandatory XA Energy efficiency submission requirements. In case of municipal submission drawings, a structural engineer is mandated by law. We have a structural engineer on our team and this forms part of our service. Generally the first two questions I encounter from Clients are – How long does it take and what is the cost? • Architectural cost of drawing up building plans for submission is quoted on and varies between projects depending on complexity and status of existing structures. We provide a detailed cost estimate. • Actual physical cost of building your additions may range from R 8500/m² upwards, and it varies based on internal finishes specifications and your contractor. Internal finishes, kitchen counters, tiles, bathroom fittings usually account for approximately 60% of project cost. Generally speaking a typical Example on Alterations project cost breakdown: • Architectural drawing and submission: (required) • Structural Engineer’s fee/stamp: (required) • Council runner cost (optional): Total approximate cost for an Example addition (typical) large double garage extension as per above. • Most alterations and additions to a home are funded through a bond and the costs can very quickly escalate, if not planned properly.
