What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Getting clients relaxed, interacting as a family unit and having fun is the key to a great photo! Obviously technical knowledge and great equipment adds to this but the bottom line is building rapport and having a good time.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
When planning a family portrait session I will ask a number of questions. How many people will be in your session? What are the ages of your children? Did you have a specific location in mind or would you like some recommendations? Do you have a fur baby that will be included in your shoot? etc. In regards to corporate imagery, how do you want to be portrayed? We will talk through locations and concept ideas to get you the result you want your clients to see.

Creating beautiful, engaging, emotion provoking imagery to be treasured.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Working for a leading portrait company and NZ largest newspaper for over 15 years lead me to pursue my own company in which I was able to concentrate on a style that best suited me and my clients. Candid, relaxed and fun!

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I primarily shoot outdoors but am also doubled vaxxed and boosted. I am happy to wear a mask on request and respect everyone's right to choose to be vaccinated or not. There is no need to disclose your vaccine status unless we are hiring a studio at which point it is a mandatory requirement.
