Just enjoyed a beautiful lunch in the restaurant today. We chose the 3 course menu + glass of wine, at $40/pp and it was sensational. Absolutely superb cuisine, beautifully presented and flavours to die for. Can't remember the last time we enjoyed such a superb meal at such great value. Fabulous day - lunch in the restaurant was out of this world. The food was just delicious. The kids menu was amazing - huge portions and cooked and prepared with as much care as the adults meals, we were very impressed. We decided to have a walk around the beautiful grounds after lunch in the restaurant and had coffees and desserts at the cellar door and again both the food and service was outstanding. The food, wine and service couldn't be faulted. Thourougly recommend the Chef's menu with paired wines. As an option you can choose the "tipple" which is a small sample of the same wines .

We hadn’t been to the venue for over 14 years so didn’t know what to expect but we had a fantastic night out. The Chef’s Selection was faultless (well considered, delicious, fresh, right portioning and very reasonably priced) - matched with the “wee tipple” wine pairings made for a superb all round experience. When we were planning our wedding and visiting venues, we stumbled upon The Hunting Lodge and decided to look no further as we knew this place was the ideal location for our wedding. We wanted a place that was idyllic along with offering a service that did everything from setting up and taking down to the preparing and serving of food and drinks to ensure we could enjoy the day without the added stress. We were very impressed with Alex (Wedding/Events Manager) who was in contact with us along with our vendors throughout the planning process to ensure it ran smoothly and to a high standard. The venue has many locations onsite for the ceremony and although we had originally opted for the Picnic / Domain area, the wet weather in days prior had prevented us from holding it there. Alex suggested other locations onsite and we decided to hold the ceremony in front of the Barn doors which turned out to be a better location as it turned out to be a great setting and within close proximity to the reception, held in the Barn. The friendly wait staff were professional and attentive which helped to make it an enjoyable evening. We were very impressed with the The Hunting Lodge in the handling of our wedding and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of getting married here. Kaleb & Hema More...
