I purchased the Mango and kumara pie and this is delicious!!!! So the kumara and mango are like a custard consistency and surprisingly sweet but not overly sweet. Bert is the sweetest soul and so easy to work with. All the desserts are baked, handcrafted and hand painted by Bert himself. He makes excellent coffee too! The koko lamington is to die for. We all agreed after the first bite that it was the best tasting lamington we'd ever eaten. It was unanimous. It was delicious! We ordered a last minute birthday cake with specific requirements and he certainly delivered. Regrettably the images I have do not do his work justice. Lovely to meet you...and your pineapple pie has to be one of the BEST I have eaten in a long time. The coconut cream topping was absolutely delicious, and the custard was heavenly and bursting with pineapple. The base was just perfect and buttery, just the right thickness. I had to share the one slice with my sister Sose Sofele (next time get your own lol). Our 90 year old mother really enjoyed the lamington too. Had the nicest experience at Sweet & Me today. I ordered a caramel macchiato which was made with homemade vakalolo sauce, which was honestly so good. My partner got a mocha; made with homemade koko Samoa sauce which was apparently the best mocha he's ever had! Bertrand was so welcoming and is seriously talented. Everything we tasted was fresh and obviously made with good quality, real ingredients and with love. The shop was really clean, crisp and warm. Definitely recommend if you're in the area! More...
