What do you love most about your job?
When all the behind the scenes planning pays off on the date. The moment where all the creative, wonderful, technicolor spectacle unfolds in front of your guests.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Our core team share over two decade’s worth of experience in live events and performing arts. In that time it’s been our pleasure to work alongside a range of incredibly diverse and talented individuals. After COVID-19 arrived and changed everything, we recognised the importance of reconnecting those artists with audiences.

While similar companies may specialize in dancers, or singers, or stilt walkers, or costumed characters etc, our focus is variety. One of our favourite parts of this job is seeing just how wide and varied a lineup we can build to meet your needs. What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As restrictions and alert levels shift over the pandemic Spark & Flare have worked to maintain a core focus on the safety of our performers and your guests. Making live performance accessible is a major part of our kaupapa, and we've taken steps to make sure we keep up to date with the latest COVID-19 information. During the summer of 2022, in partnership with the city council, we delivered Wellington's largest publicly accessible arts event of the season.
