Range of seating options (picnic tables or hightops)in a cute patio area right on the main street...great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was delicious! ! I had the meat candy which was freaking amazing I ordered more to take home! and the pork ribs that were tender,full of flavor and decent sized with plenty of meat...washed down with a nice NZ Sav for a reasonable price...I cant wait to go back and try more off the menu! Not only is this the best BBQ you will eat in NZ but the atmosphere is choice. Like being at a picnic but way better. Never thought anyone could top Mums mac and cheese (sorry mum) but its so good i just want to bathe in it.

So just had salads chilli etc for dinner, bought earlier today - all fab. Alas there is an issue with the wings - they turned my wife Into a feral raccoon. I was lucky to get 4 (and had to fight hard for the 4th) as she had already had 5 and was going for a 6th! This all said I suspect that I should get you to smoke and cook me slow and low for her birthday on the 11th and cover me in that fab sauce and then she might be as keen on me as she is on your wings;) Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Having had my fair share of BBQ over the years, both in the US and in NZ, I would say Smokin Cole is one of the best. Tonight we had the ribs, cheese kransky, herb chicken drumsticks, pulled pork nachos, coleslaw and the truffle mac and cheese; and it was all cooked perfectly.
