Been photographing weddings, portraits and events since 2010. More recently, have ventured into boudoir. Photography is my part-time vocation, so assignments are carried out mainly on weekends, but shoots outside of weekends can be negotiated.

Gavin was a great photographer - he took some lovely photos of long service awards we were hosting in Hamilton. Very good candid shots, and he is also coordinated a fantastic team photo.
What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Lighting - natural and artificial - is an important component for nailing the shot technically.
Just as important is ensuring the client is relaxed in front of the camera and feeling confident and comfortable in each shot.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
The basic but necessary ones, like-
Have they got a date set yet?
Venue or location?
Have they seen any of my work before contacting me?
Were they referred, and by whom? (Purely so that I can thank the referee)
Is there anything about my photography that particularly stands out for them, and would they like me to incorporate that into their own shoot?
If my quote is too high for them but they’d still like to hire me, I may ask what their maximum budget is and if they’re happy for me customize a package around that?
What do you love most about your job?
Photography helps me connect with people from all walks of life.
What inspired you to start your own business?
No better way than turning your passion into a source of income.
Why should our clients choose you?
While I am no different from my peers when it comes to developing one’s own style, I am flexible and happy to learn new techniques that I can incorporate into their shoot.

This is something that I haven’t explored yet, but will look at it once I’m confident enough that I am sufficiently geared up for this kind of service.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I follow the latest government alert settings, and I also adhere to the regulations of the specific venue I am shooting at.
