What do you love most about your job?
Helping people get the full potential from their garden and being able to fully enjoy the outdoors. Every design is different because everybody has slightly different wants; even though it is expected that most people want to have a low-maintenance garden, all gardens will be unique in some way.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I like the flexibility and the concept of being in more of a control position. I have always been project orientated and like to have quality control other each step. I also like working with people helping and advising where I can at what will work from experience. When you are in a marketplace, it requires you to keep up-to-date and at your best. The landscape plans I now do are much better than in the past, primarily due to experience and technology.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am very good at what I do, and I am qualified and experienced. Plus my pricing is very affordable for most.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I can provide remote planning; many planners and architects I deal with send their plans through, and I add the landscape plan for the client. I have designed gardens from the South Island to the Far North; I only need a site plan to work from, photos of the existing garden, and possibly a few measurements.
Doing it this way can work more cost-effective.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I wore a mask at the time. Thankfully these times are mostly over as they were very stressful for people due to the uncertainty.
