How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?
Exercise and Nutrition go hand in hand, but how you work it may be different for everyone. Some prefer exercise first then add nutrition component, some prefer nutrition and then add exercise and other just want to jump in boots and all, but whatever you do the results come when you can get both your nutrition and exercise working together.
How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
We take a monitored approach to each individual stepping them through the process. Each person will have a different motivation so it is our job to make sure that we are motivating and monitoring the client so that they can see their progress.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
No secret, consistency consistency consistency. Trying to get the body of your dreams can be a challenge if you are not sure what you are aiming for so work with us to ensure that you have a time line and a process.
What do you love most about your job?
After 25 year as a PT and even longer in the health and fitness industry, I enjoy the challenge of clients and watching the improvements that they didn't believe could happen when they follow a programme designed for them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
That's an easy one, I was working in a large Gym as a PT and couldn't keep a track of my clients, who came in, when they came in and if they were doing the exercise correctly. Now being in a smaller gym and with a great team we can look after the each person and give them so much more support.
Why should our clients choose you?
Wow always a difficult one, the biggest is my experience, with 25 years as a PT. Some of my client have been with me for over 10 years, so I must be doing something correct. The second is that I have a great set of nutritionists and PTs that work with me allowing me to get the best out of a small team of professionals with a mixture of expertise.
Personal Training (Lengthen and Strengthen)
This 45 Min session us Mints Signature and we developed for those individuals that need extra instruction and stretching. Works well with our Newbies and Novices plus the rehab clients that need that extra attention and support
Personal Training (Express)
This is a 30 minute session designed for the individual that is short on time and has a good understanding of resistance training. The client will warm up and cool down and The Mint trainer will show them through the programmed session.
Lifestyle Nutrition
The Lifestyle nutrition team will help you learn the role nutrition has in optimising your bodys performance through food choices. Lifestyle nutrition is for the active and not so active individuals that don’t have any major health issues and are looking to change everyday food to effect a change in body composition (weight loss/weight gain) and energy.
Clinical Nutrition (Health Based)
Our Clinical Nutrition team are Science-based and holistically integrated. The functional medicine based assessment is perfect hybrid between a medical practitioner (GP) and Nutritionist for those that understand that food is medicine.
Using the testing that is available they have the have successfully helped people stop the chronic and long-term effects of:
Poor immunity and compromised gut health
Cardiovascular health
Nutrient-poor and restrictive diets
Inflammation, allergies and intolerance’s
Stressed both physically and mentally.
