Counselling

I have been working with Glen for about a month now and I am really enjoying the process. I have never tried IFS therapy before working with Glen and it is by far the most effective therapy I have tried. He is very supportive and understanding. He gives you time to think, provides excellent probing questions and provides a safe space to explore the depths of your mind in. I cannot recommend Glen enough. I am so happy I finally found a councellor and method of counselling that works for me. Thanks so much Glen, can't wait for our next session! More...

I have gained a lot of understanding why parts of my personality take over and cause problems. The part of me that observes is now in the drivers seat and I have gained some control of my life, thanks for helping me connect with what I already had all along

Q&As

There is a lot of joy in building relationships and this is an important part of what I do. Most of all, the moment when a client finds liberation from a symptom or problem, the light has been shown and the opportunity to gain their power back and take control of their lives may be possible.

I have been self employed for over twenty years in my other profession and it was a natural fit for me to start my counselling business. I also wanted to remove some restrictions for clients that could not be achieved working for an agency, like available times, price and online service.

I pride myself on my ability to connect with people. I trust that my honesty and integrity will be transparent and reduce the time to build a trusting relationship. My life experience has connected me with many different people and I have gained understanding for many situations and behaviours allowing for a compassionate approach to my work with no prejudice.

yes, encrypted online video sessions. This requires the client to have good internet connection and this can be an obstacle. The plus side is that the times are flexible and there is no travel, you also get to connect from the comfort of your own home or office. This can reduce the anxiety going into a new space.

My focus since we went into the first of the lockdowns has been to improve my skills working remotely. I have carried out a literature review of the research on online counselling so I could fine tune my service. There is still a lot to learn as this is a new and growing area. My online service is the best I can offer my clients and I am making steps into contactless counselling for local people to meet in person.
