What’s your interior design process?
The interior design process is a systematic journey that transforms a space into a functional, aesthetically pleasing environment tailored to our client's needs. It typically begins with an in-depth consultation where we gather information about our client's lifestyle, preferences, and requirements. Following this, our team develops a conceptual plan, considering elements such as spatial layout, colour schemes, and furniture selections. The design is refined through collaboration and feedback before moving into the implementation phase, where materials, furnishings, and decor are sourced and integrated. Coordination with contractors and craftsmen ensures the seamless execution of the design, and the final step involves styling and accessorizing to add the finishing touches. Throughout this process, effective communication between the designer and client is paramount, ensuring that the end result not only meets but exceeds expectations.

What do you love most about your job?
First and foremost is the contribution to creative expression and the ability to enhance functionality and aesthetics simultaneously. As designers we find joy in the process of envisioning and bringing to life a space. The continuous evolution of design trends and the opportunity to create unique, tailored environments contribute to the dynamic and fulfilling nature of the interior design industry.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The main driving force behind starting my own business is my entrepreneurial spirit and passion for such a creative industry where boundaries can be pushed. I have a strong desire to succeed for the sake of my two daughters a purpose much bigger than myself.

Our studio can offer online or remote services by leveraging digital communication tools such as video conferencing and virtual design platforms. Our clients can share their space through photos and videos, facilitating a virtual walkthrough to discuss preferences and requirements. We can then provide mood boards and conceptual design plans remotely, ensuring a collaborative and efficient design process without the need for in-person meetings.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We follow all procedures and practices outlined by the Ministry of Health NZ to keep both our team and clients safe. Services can be carried out remotely and on line should they be required.
