I had been twice to Bessie a couple of years ago and loved it, so I invited my new partner (who had never been), to treat him to fancy steak and excellent service. We arrived at 7.30 pm and ordered mains and side dishes straight away. So when by 8.20 pm we had only drinks served, I was about to complain/inquire about our food, but the waitress apologized profusely and told us that our order was misplaced and hadn't been put through but that she had just rectified it. She also told us that EVERYTHING we had ordered (and encouraged us to order starters, more drinks, and desserts) was ON THE HOUSE! Needless to say, the Tomahawk steak was AMAZING! And so were the carrots, polenta, and roast potatoes... the egg appetizer was also super tasty! You have to give credit to a restaurant that rectifies their mistakes and values their clients in such a way, because they could have given us drinks/desserts off, or a price reduction, but they didn't charge us for one item! I absolutely loved every minute of my time here! My partner took me out for dinner here and not going to lie I was super nervous as I felt as though the restaurant was way to fancy for me. Have been to Bessie a couple of times now and it’s just so amazing! I can’t recommend it enough. It’s good for an intimate dinner with a partner as well as a nice spot for a friendly catch-up. Meat is 10/10 especially the short rib! All the sides are delicious as well as the free pita bread. Chocolate marquess was also to die for! Service is also 10/10 friendly and helpful but not intrusive! We will be back over and over again! This is a must try restaurant!! More...
