What do you love most about your job?
I love having the collective experience of live music and dance and sharing that joy in the community! I get to meet so many wonderful passionate artists and fun-seekers, and share what I love to do with them as a performer, collaborator and teacher. I feel very grateful and privileged to have this opportunity.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to start my own business because when I moved to Wellington, I didn't find anyone offering what I do and wanted to share my skills and knowledge and build a community around my passion.

We can provide zoom dance workshops and lessons with recorded music, and fb live percussion classes.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
To keep my customers safe from Covid, during various stages of alert levels in NZ, I have moved totally online, and given in person and zoom options for classes, keeping my class numbers limited to the appropriate numbers for the alert level we are in, and even in level 1, I am continuing to take bookings that require clients to give contact tracing details, and I always keep accurate records and registries to ensure our collective safety. I have also provided videos of past performances and classes to events that had booked Moringa Dancers and couldn't go ahead, so they could stream performances and keep the energy alive!
Dance and Drumming Performances
We can perform a high energy drum and dance set at your party, festival, or event with beautiful and funky moves and grooves, and West African inspired costuming.
Dance and Drumming Workshops
We can teach high energy, inclusive workshops in West African and African inspired dance, percussion, or both. This is great at parties, festivals, schools, or for corporate team-building, and can be done on it's own or with a performance included as well.

We can provide one-on-one or group West African dance or drumming lessons.
