What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about this role is the privilege of being invited into some of the most meaningful moments in people’s lives. Whether it’s celebrating love, honouring someone’s life, or guiding a special event, I get to connect with whānau, share stories, bring laughter and comfort, and help create memories that truly matter. It’s deeply human, always different, and always an honour.
What inspired you to start your own business?
What inspired me to start was seeing how powerful ceremony can be when it truly reflects the people at the centre of it. I wanted to create spaces where te ao Māori, storytelling, humour, and aroha could come together in a way that felt authentic and meaningful. After years of holding space in different ways, becoming a celebrant felt like a natural extension of who I am and what I value – connecting, celebrating, and uplifting others.
