What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Great photographs are about helping somebody relax and be themselves. This is from both family portraits and business portraits.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
When working with a new business client, its important to ask them what the images purpose is, and where they are going to be used. I need to know early on if its just for social media, if it might end up on a billboard, and if they need negative space for words etc.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the creativity of being a photographer. For family portraits I love knowing that the images I have created, showing the relationships between the family members, will be treasured for many years and generations. And for business portraits, to be able to create an image that is friendly, approachable and professional, that helps them give potential clients confidence to hire them is so satisfying.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My love of photography inspired me to start my business, and it has kept me going for over 15 years!
